The epitome of chic seaside living, this gorgeous Dorset home stay is the perfect getaway for families or a group of friends. With fabulous sea views, sprawling social spaces and a stunning location, you'll be hard-pushed to find a more perfect spot. Set in the oh-so-pretty hamlet of Seatown on the gorgeous Jurassic coast, this property is just a few minutes' walk from the beach, the iconic Golden Cap landmark and the excellent Anchor Inn.

Living

Boasting lots of space, there are three lovely sociable spaces to relax in offering plenty of space. The grown-up space to the front of the property has stunning views over Golden Cap and has a lovely oil burning stove, a comfy sofa, chairs and pretty window seat to gaze out of. The second sitting room has two sofas, a large television for film nights and catching up with box sets, plus another cosy oil burner. The third room is perfect for children and teenagers alike, complete with a wardrobe full of games, toys and books to keep them entertained. There are also huge bean bags, a television and seating so there's plenty of room to relax.

Eating

The kitchen is simply a dream, with huge bi-fold windows overlooking the sea that open during warmer months onto the impressive terrace. You'll find all you'll need to create delicious feasts, with Dualit appliances and a Nespresso coffee machine for wake-me-up moments. In the centre of the room is a large dining table which easily seats eight, whilst on the terrace there's an additional dining area for alfresco meals looking out to sea and across Golden Cap - just perfect!

In addition, there's a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge, freezers and a second dishwasher.

Sleeping and bathing

There are three gorgeously sumptuous bedrooms to choose from. The beautiful French-style master bedroom with super king bed has stunning sea views, vaulted ceilings and lots of space.

The pretty cream second bedroom has a double bed and beautiful sea views, whilst the third bedroom, also with a double bed, has lovely garden views and is dressed in soothing shades of blue. These two bedrooms share an en suite 'jack and jill' shower room. To keep towels fluffy and warm, you will find a heated towel rail.

All three beds come complete with White Company linens and 'Soho Home' throws to ensure a deep, blissful nights' sleep.

The beautiful sage green family bathroom is just amazing, with a freestanding bath and a huge walk-in shower with rain head - perfect for wake-me-up moments and bubble topped soaks. There's also a heated towel rail to keep towels fluffy and warm.

Larger parties

Seatown Farmhouse is situated next to The Beach House, making it a perfect option for groups of up to twelve people - ideal for a group of friends or multi-generational holidays. Get in touch if you would like to book both properties.

Garden

There is a lovely deck which wraps arounds the front of the house which boasts stunning views of Golden Cap - perfect for a peaceful coffee in the morning or sundowners at the end of the day. There's lawn below the deck and a barbecue for those long summer evenings.

Thatched roof

Due to the thatched roof Seatown Farmhouse is a non-smoking property and smoking is not permitted in or within the boundary of the property. It is a condition of the owner's insurance that the barbecue provided remains on the paved area by the well and must not be sited under a gazebo or on timber decking. Further to this the lighting of any candles, bonfires, or the use of firepits or chimineas is not permitted. Thank you for your understanding.

Parking

You can park right next to the property as there is off-road parking and a gated driveway for one car plus there is an additional private space opposite the Anchor Inn.

Babies and children

A travel cot, high chair and stairgate are provided, please bring along your own bedding for the travel cot. Please ensure that children and infants are supervised when outdoors, as a small stream runs through the garden.

Dogs

Two dogs are very welcome at Seatown Farmhouse. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

In the Area

Seatown is an exceptionally pretty location, nestled on the beautiful Jurassic coastline. With walks on your doorstep - such as up the impressive Golden Cap, and with the beach and the Anchor Inn just a few steps away, there's no need to get in the car if you don't want to. However, if you fancy exploring a little further, a trip to The Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock, River Cottage HQ on Trinity Hill just outside Lyme Regis and the Mark Hix Oyster & Fish House overlooking the harbour in Lyme Regis are a must!

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Seatown Farmhouse:

A lovely house , very well equipped and comfortable. Wonderful location.

Anchor inn was a great asset to the area.

Lovely location and beautiful house. We all had a lovely time. Plenty of walks from house for us and dog, also a good pub on the doorstep with excellent food.

Exceeding our expectations. Was much larger than we expected. Beautifully furnished, has everything you need for fantastic break away with the sea on your doorstep. Would definitely stay again!

This was our first time with Boutique Retreats and this was the best cottage we have ever stayed in. From excellent sea view location from most windows in the house. The interior decoration was stunning & our dog slept in past 9am as your utility room so cosy & warm. We had a truly rested week with the Anchor pub a 2 min walk what more could you ask for.

A hidden gem we’d rather not share and spread the word on as it was gorgeous! Can’t wait to book again!

Seatown Farmhouse was utterly beautiful and clean, and I would thoroughly recommend it. I completely fell in love with its stunning interior and felt so content staying there. The location of Seatown is fantastic if you are looking to be next to the sea, whilst there are some fabulous walks and gorgeous views. Lyme Regis and Charmouth are close by when you feel the need for a busier location in which to spend the day, whilst The Three Horseshoes pub in nearby Burton Bradstock serves delicious food.

We had a fabulous few days at Seatown farmhouse. Blessed with sunny weather we were able to enjoy the beach and the surrounding area. The house is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The Anchor pub, a short stroll down the road served delicious food and the staff were very friendly. Our 2 year old granddaughter had a fabulous time and we have already booked to return next year.

A perfect and huge cottage. So comfortable, warm and well equipped. Incredibly comfortable beds, great kitchen and wonderful verandah. Next to fab pub - with amazing Pizzas and Gelato attached! We have had a great week. Thank you.

Fantastic location and cottage will stay again, loved the location and enjoyed sitting on the deck looking out to sea

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful relaxing location.

We had a great holiday and loved the house, and Dorset.

Such a beautiful house in a fabulous location! Great spaces to relax after our long walks! Good pub 2 minutes walk away - perfect!

This cottage was in an outstanding location, beautifully presented and very suitable for dogs. Loved this exceptional retreat.

The house is situated where the sea can be seen and heard, which adds to the relaxation experienced. The beach is beautiful and one of the cleanest to be found along this part of the coast. And the number of walks available, just from walking out of the front door, would be difficult to improve upon.

Beautiful house in a stunning location.

Beautiful house better than it’s description online!

Beautiful downstairs accommodation and stunning location with views of the sea.

Lovely place, we had been before and we will come back again.

Gorgeous house in a beautiful location.

This is a massive house for six people in a lovely location with a small shop just over the road. Although there is a camp site opposite there is no noise and all we heard was the sheep walking by in the early morning. We were very surprised how quiet it was.

Seatown Farm house is in a dream location with Seaview's while you drink your morning coffee. My family had a wonderful English summer holiday and have rebooked for next year. Please DO NOT book as I don't want it to get too busy and I can't get a booking. Fiona x

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Seatown Farmhouse which exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean throughout with lots of thoughtful touches, including a very well equipped kitchen. The generous welcome hamper was lovely too. We were blessed with great weather so made the most of the extensive deck with its sea and Golden Cap views. Our Labrador also loved the enclosed garden. The property offered plenty of space for 6 adults and there was always a quiet corner to rest or read in. A beautiful part of Dorset to which we will definitely return.

Fantastic cottage and location

Delighted with our retreat from booking to end of holiday. Excellent location, lots of thoughtful touches and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

As above

A beautiful cosy cottage in a wonderful location

What a fantastic cottage! Ideal location within a stone's throw of the beach, the cosy Anchor Inn and multiple scenic walks. The cottage was so well designed and a real luxurious home from home. Would recommend to anyone! The utility room on the side was perfect after some muddy walks!

We had a wonderful stay at Seatown Farmhouse, the house was decorated to a very high standard, extremely well equipped kitchen which was great as we love to cook as a family.

Great location with both walks up into the hills and along the beach, we loved hunting for fossils on our beach walks.

We really enjoyed playing some of the games in the snug, found a couple of new favourites which we purchased since we have come home!

We were very impressed by the thoughtful touches. It made it feel very much like a home from home. Lots of lovely little treats were also left for us.

Our two Frenchies were also made very welcome with a dog bed, blankets so they could sit with us on the sofas, dog treats, towels to help clean them up after a muddy walk.

Thank you so much to the Boutique Retreats team for making our holiday so special, we will definitely book with you again, we have been talking about it already, just need to decide if to choose the same place or try a new one!!

A hidden gem

Fabulous location with wonderful views and facilities.

Beautiful thatched cottage in Seatown, where every morning we walked down to the beach to breathe in the sea air, and watch the mad ladies sea swimming at 8.00am. The Anchor Inn was a delight too, good pub fayre and polite and efficient staff. Cottage well equipped and beautifully furnished - lots of options for relaxing, and bed in main bedroom so so comfortable. Would love to go back again for a longer stay!

A beautiful house with a superb specification. Make sure you have fish and chips at the Anchor on your visit!

We loved our stay at Seatown Farmhouse. It is tastefully quirky, spacious and exceptionally comfortable accommodation. Our dogs loved the extensive gardens and the proximity to the beach. The cottage is very well equipped and lots of thoughtful details are provided. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, wonderful place to stay

A truly fabulous house in a perfect location!!

We loved our stay at the cottage. The location is close enough to the sea that we could fall asleep to the sound of waves at night and the pub only a short walk away for breakfast, which is on the edge of the sea. The house sits at the foothill of Golden Cap which offers the most amazing views and lovely walks onto Westbay, or a walk to Lyme Regis on the other side if you have the energy.

I don’t think I could say enough about the house itself - the full booking up to Christmas says it all! It offers comfortable furniture including our large bed, a beautifully fitted kitchen that lets the light in to welcome you in the morning and enough rooms downstairs that allows everyone to spread out and read, listen to music or watch tv on a rainy day. What impressed me most were the little touches welcoming our dog. It’s so nice to find a beautiful house that does not exclude the family pet. A bed, bowls, treats and poop bags are supplied and even a note asking visitors to supply their own blankets to protect the furniture if your furry companion is used to sleeping on the sofa!

It’s in a lovely location right next to the beach and the local pub , great for dog walks and property has a nice mix of old charm matched up with lots of clever modern touches

Lovely cottage. Wonderful location.

We really enjoyed our stay at Seatown Farmhouse which is a lovely cottage and really occupies a prime location in Seatown.

Boutique Retreats housekeeping prepared the property really carefully (thank you Emma). When you arrive its it bit like stepping into a very swanky hotel except you are the only people there!

Time has been taken with the property to make it feel special - the styling, decor and fabrics have been chosen by someone who knows what they're doing, so you get a very 'seasidee' feel.

We booked this property to celebrate my mother's 88th birthday - her first for 5 years. Boutique retreats helped me select the property with her needs in mind and we she loved it!

So we're booking another BR property for next year in Cornwall where we will be celebrating my mother's 89th!

Fantastic cottage in a wonderful location! We loved our stay and hope to return again in the future!

We had a really comfortable stay with the staff making up a sofa bed and a small camp bed for the children in the playroom.

A lovely spacious house which accommodated 4 adults and 2 children perfectly.

We're looking forward to our second stay shortly.
