Perched on the Fal estuary and with over 40 acres of gardens and 375 acres of woodland, Trelissick is a huge, sprawling garden with fabulous views and an immense collection of plants to admire. Famed for its year-round collection of flowers such as camellias, rhododendrons, photinia and azaleas, this is a colourful spot whenever you choose to visit.
Right on the water’s edge, you can easily catch a ferry from Truro, Falmouth or the Roseland Peninsula straight to the gardens should you wish to. As well as the gardens, the huge park and woodland area is perfect for walking, with trails winding their way through the woods and along the river – ideal if you have a dog with you – and you’ll uncover some hidden gems along the way too, such as a summerhouse, water tower and jaw-dropping views.
For green-fingered visitors there’s a specialist plant shop on site, plus a restaurant and cafe too. Please note dogs are allowed in the woodland area only.
