Renowned and talented Rick and Jill Stein opened The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow in 1975 and it has been flourishing ever since, becoming a popular destination amongst locals and visitors. Serving some of the freshest and tastiest seafood around and straight from the harbour, you can guarantee simple and delicious dishes – all cooked to perfection by head chef Stephane Delourme and his skilled team.
The faultless menu changes regularly to make the most of the best seasonal produce, but there’s always something to tantalise everyone’s taste buds. Pop by from lunch and enjoy a three-course set menu for £42.95 – in Spring 2019, you can have your choice of a variety of seafood dishes from curries to breaded fish to pastas and risottos. Our favourites are the Large Grilled Porthilly Mussels, Deep Fried Fillet of Cornish Whiting in Panko Breadcrumbs and Thai Cod Green Curry – absolutely divine!
One of the main attractions of this establishment – other than its utterly delicious food! – is its wonderful seafood bar in the centre of the restaurant. Definitely book a spot at one of the stools to get the true experience of seafood dining. Watch the chefs carefully prepare and assemble each platter with oysters, langoustines, crab, sashimi and much more right before your very eyes. With its relaxed atmosphere, you can kick back and relax with glass of wine at the seafood bar and spend an afternoon indulging in great food and company.
There is also an à la carte menu to tuck into for both lunch and dinner which offer a larger range of goodies to try. There’s plenty of seafood dishes to sample as well as scrumptious vegetarian options like Goats Cheese Tortellini, Risotto Primavera and Makhanawala Vegetable Curry. For those who may not be a fan of the taste of the ocean don’t be disheartened by the name of this delicious eatery as there are some meaty options to chow down on such as a succulent Cornish Rump of Lamb. As well as a children’s menu and of course that all important desserts menu, filled with sweets and a gorgeous selection of cheeses, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
