Established in the 1970s is Durlston's breathtaking Country Park, home to a variety of wildlife and boasting gorgeous vistas. Hidden away from it all in a pretty little corner of the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, there is plenty to discover at this Nature Reserve and is a perfect way to spend the day out with the whole family.

Whether you’re a lover of nature, a photography enthusiast or have an interest in local Dorset events, Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve has something everyone can enjoy. Waltz through the 320 acres of stunning Dorset countryside and get up close with the local wildlife. There are 33 species of butterfly, 250 species of bird and over 500 types wildflowers to witness. The closer you get to the ocean on the coastal path, the cliffs are alive with a range of seabirds, swopping in a magnificent spectacle throughout March and July.

Not only do you have the beautiful countryside setting to explore, but also Durlston Castle which was lovingly restored in 2011. Inside the castle is a hub of activity, hosting a variety of events from art exhibitions, live music and performances.
