Perfectly positioned in the heart of Fowey, Marietta is just a short stroll from an array of exceptional dining experiences, while also serving as an idyllic base for discovering the very best of South Cornwall's breathtaking coastline, rolling countryside and enchanting coastal villages.

Living, Kitchen and Dining

Discover the main living room, where jewel-toned green hues and rustic original beams promise a cosy space to gather for slow living moments. Featuring two quaint window seats, two plump sofas and an occasional armchair, there is plenty of space for everybody to stretch out in style. Drawing the eye is cream wood-burning stove, a most welcome addition in the colder months. For entertainment, you'll find a Smart TV and Sonos speakers, along with a selection of traditional board games.

For those looking for a quiet spot to withdraw, escape to the snug, where a smart TV awaits for evenings unwinding with your favourite film.

Upstairs awaits the comfortable office space, complete with a writing desk and chair for chronicling your travel reveries, whilst a cream boucle armchair is a tranquil space to settle with your current page turner.

Country charm meets modern luxury in the stunning kitchen and dining space, where a cherry-red AGA beautifully contrasts pale blue cabinetry, whilst a wooden dining table for six sets the scene for gathering at mealtimes. An inspiring space for culinary artists, you'll find all you should require during your stay, including a coffee machine, two fridges, a freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Please note, due to the historic nature of the retreat, there are level changes between some of the rooms on all floors, so do take care when moving between floors. There are also steep staircases and low ceilings, so please take care when moving around the retreat.

Sleeping and bathing

You'll find three equally serene bedrooms to choose from at Marietta.

Promising soothing neutral hues throughout, the dreamy master bedroom is a calming space for lingering lie-ins. Featuring a super king bed, you'll also find a dressing table with a stool, alongside two bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe for storing your belongings.

Take a short flight of steps to discover the soothing en suite bathroom, a spellbinding sanctuary complete with a clawfoot roll top bathtub made for unwinding with bubble-topped soaks and a luxurious walk-in shower with a rainfall head.

Rich teal tones invite for soothing slumber in the second bedroom, complete with a super king bed. A calming space for slow mornings, you'll find two bedside tables, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and a dressing table with a stool.

Uncover a dreamy blush palette with floral inflections in the third and final bedroom, where a super king zip-and-link offers the perfect solution for those requiring the option of twin beds. There is also a bedside table, a chest of drawers and a small rail for hanging garments.

On the top floor resides the sumptuous family bathroom, where glossy emerald, green tiles adorn the walk-in shower with a rainfall head.

Outdoor space

Home to a breath-taking setting of softly swaying sailboats and glistening waters, Marietta's outdoor space promises to enchant in every season. Set across a beautifully landscaped, tiered garden, each level has been thoughtfully designed for alfresco living and laid-back waterside gatherings.

Step outside to uncover a charming courtyard, where a bistro table for four invites for leisurely coffees and laidback lunches in the shade.

On the lower terrace awaits an array of outdoor seating, with a wooden table for eight made for sun-kissed banquets, whilst a sofa and two armchairs beckon for evening conversation with a glass in hand. A gas barbeque is also on hand for hosting in the summer months.

Set on the third tier is the wood-clad summer house, where festoon lighting sets the scene for romantic evening gatherings. Inside, you'll find a cosy sofa and small kitchenette complete with a fridge, sink, and coffee machine. There is also a separate WC.

With a sleek glass balcony and an array of sun loungers, the fourth tier promises a magical spot to unwind beside uninterrupted river views.

At the very top of the garden awaits a lawned garden with benches and a firepit, made for twilight soirées gathered with your kin to admire the unrivalled riverside setting.

Please note, that all tiers to the garden are accessed via steep, stone steps.
