Set in the far west of Cornwall in the famous town of Marazion, Pearl certainly lives up to its name; an exquisite, jewel-like retreat with romantic interiors and swoon-worthy views over St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay, with its own private access to the beach below.
An adults-only retreat, Pearl is made for couples or singles seeking an idyllic seaside escape. Step inside and you'll discover an open-plan living space with seaside vistas, a wood burner, vintage touches and the loveliest of pale, natural tones throughout. The bedroom is a delight, complete with bathtub made for two, whilst the terrace garden is the perfect spot for relaxation during warmer months.
Pearl is perfectly situated to explore the far west of Cornwall, from the most southerly point in Great Britain (The Lizard), through to the most westerly (Land's End), discovering such highlights as Mousehole, St Ives, Newlyn, the Minack Theatre, Porthleven and the extraordinarily beautiful and wild Cornish coastline.
Living and eating
Pearl benefits from a lovely open plan living space, with the sitting area to the front and the kitchen and dining area to the back.
With panoramic, south facing sea views over St Michael's Mount, the sitting area is resplendent with a large three-seater sofa and lounge chair, with a charming enamel log burner to keep you cosy during winter months - perfect for cosying up in front of whilst storm watching! When the weather is good, glass doors can be opened out onto the terrace and lawn, to let the sea breeze waft through and to make the most of outdoor living. In addition, there's a Smart TV and a radio.
The gorgeous kitchen, with soft white cabinets and grey worktops, is as wonderfully equipped as it is beautiful. There's an induction hob with electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the other essentials including a blender and food processor. We just adore the aesthetic of this space, making cooking for your loved one an absolute delight, and with a plethora of local produce to try, such as fresh fish from Newlyn, a stay at Pearl is a foodie's dream getaway.
Sleeping
Just wow - we couldn't think of a more romantic spot than this stunning bedroom. The oh-so-dreamy double bed is swathed in luxurious linens, whilst the freestanding bathtub for two sits in front of the picture-perfect window, with a fabulous view of the Mount and hand-held shower. Run the tap, pour in some bubbles, and slowly sink in for the most luxurious of soaks - bliss! Meanwhile, glass doors lead out on to the garden and terrace - the perfect spot for wake-me-up coffees on a sunny day.
Bathing
As well as the bedroom bathtub, there's an ensuite shower room with walk in shower, plus an additional shower area in the utility room, so there's a shower each if you want one! Heated rails ensure towels are kept warm and fluffy for you. In addition, there's an outside shower to wash sandy toes and wetsuits after a day on the beach.
Outdoor space
To the front of Pearl lies a wonderful, covered terrace, complete with two sofas, a coffee table, dining table and chairs plus a barbeque and prep area for outdoor dining. You'll discover sunny spots on the terrace on which to doze on a lazy sunny afternoon, whilst the field with resident donkey and ponies offer a grassy view leading to the sea and of course St Michael's Mount beyond - just idyllic! If you're lucky, you might spot the resident pod of dolphins which live in Mount's Bay. Additionally, there's a private gate down to the beaches of Black Rock and Marazion's hidden smaller, sandy beach. Nestled down a secret lane and set beside just two other abodes, Pearl's prime position promises uninterrupted vistas over the rolling ocean tides.

In the Area
Set in the iconic town of Marazion, Pearl is perfectly situated to explore the far west of Cornwall. Of course, no stay would be complete without a visit to the Mount, whether that's by boat when the tide is in or on foot along the causeway when it's out. From here you can also join the South West Coastal Path - if you head towards Perranuthnoe and Porthleven you'll enjoy spectacular views. Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens are well worth a visit and boasts a fabulous café too, whilst if you follow the coast west, you'll discover bustling Penzance, Newlyn and pretty Mousehole. For a proper taste of Cornwall, make sure to pay a visit to a fishmonger in Newlyn, opposite the harbour where the catch comes in fresh each day. For swimming, the golden sands of Praa Sands won't disappoint, whilst Sennen, close to Land's End, is fantastic for surfing. Other top places to visit include the fabulous Minack Theatre for open air performances, St Ives, just a short drive away on the north coast and The Lizard, an AONB with gorgeous beaches and astonishing coastline including Kynance Cove. Food lovers have a plethora of eateries to choose from; Porthleven has a host of exceptional restaurants, whilst the fabulous Gurnards Head near Zennor is well worth a visit. Marazion itself has some great places too, including The Godolphin Inn and the Copper Spoon Café. The award-winning Victoria Inn in Perranuthnoe is a lovely 15-minute walk away, and there's also a lovely beach here too.
