You'll find Barn Owl Roost down its own private road, tucked away and overlooking a lovely emerald green valley. This lovingly converted barn is surrounded by over 70 acres of arable farmland and is very private, perfect for a secluded getaway. It's a doggie paradise with plenty of walks from your front door and the one-level property with slate flooring throughout means they'll be happy inside too. The owner's can arrange a heated kennel or dog sitting service so if you want to go out and leave your pooch behind, they'll be well looked after. Don't be surprised if you glimpse a partridge or a guinea fowl from the window - they are bred nearby and like to roam around!
Living
A step leads to the front door which opens up to a light and airy space with vaulted ceilings, slate flooring with under floor heating and thoughtful lighting throughout. To the left plush cream sofas face lovely French windows that can be opened up in the warmer weather to bring the countryside in to you. In cooler weather the stunning wood burner makes the space uber-cosy, making it perfect for curling up on the sofa and maybe watching a film with a glass of red to hand.
Eating
A timeless bespoke shaker-style kitchen, beautifully decorated in a charming hue of creamy white, boasts cool slate work surfaces and pale blue tiles. With all the usual mod cons including a Bosch oven, hob and microwave, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, and being really very well stocked equipment-wise, this is a great space for cooking - maybe for preparing some fresh fish bought straight from the harbours edge in Padstow? A pretty farmhouse-style dining table and benches sit handily close to the kitchen whilst outside on the patio there's a table and chairs to eat al fresco - perfect for watching the sun creep higher in the sky at breakfast, or the orange glow of sunset turn to an inky blackness over dinner.
