A soothing space with warm hues and country views, it promises pure comfort whether you choose to reside on the brown leather corner sofa and immerse in the pages of your latest read or gather for cocktails and conversation. For sumptuous comfort is a large armchair, while for added entertainment, a wall-mounted Smart TV with a built-in DVD player and Sky offers ample choice for movie nights at home. In the cooler months, luxuriate in the warmth of the wood burning stove for wintertime bliss, and in the summer months, open the windows to let balmy breezes drift in from the coast.

Eating and dining

The beautiful heart of the home, Trevear New Cottage's kitchen lends itself perfectly to gathering and dining over delicious repasts. Dressed in subtle hints of sage and featuring white marble counter tops and open wood shelves, it imbues a timeless country cottage feel refined with modern details and accoutrements. Make use of the generous worktop space and array of appliances, such as an integrated microwave oven and a stainless steel Lacanche electric range oven, for dinner dates at home. For dreamy morning rituals and afternoon pick-me-ups, you can also find a Nespresso coffee machine. A beautiful space for gathering over handcrafted fare, a wood dining table takes pride of place in the centre of the room, paired by six chairs and softly-lit by statement hanging lamps. Completing the picture is an additional utility area featuring marble-topped workspaces and striking green units with bronze inflections. Meanwhile, an integrated kitchen Sonos sound system connected to an iPad allows you to craft your perfect holiday playlists.

Sleeping and bathing

Beckoning for blissful repose, bedroom one resides on the first floor and features gorgeous high ceilings framed by open beams. Enjoying a neutral palette, it has two alcoves with integrated open shelves and twin bedside tables. The super king bed with comfortable Hypnos mattress is dressed in the softest sheets and illuminated by two statement pendant lights by Tom Raffield. For comfort and privacy, this bedroom also benefits from its own ensuite bathroom with a shower and heated towel rail.

The second bedroom also rests on the first floor and enjoys high ceilings, beautiful, exposed beams, and calming colours. For ease, it presents a zip-and-link bed with a Hypnos mattress that can be arranged as a super king or as twins, as required. A large oak wardrobe and chest of drawers provide space for stowing belongings, while large windows frame captivating countryside vistas beyond.

For refreshing mornings and bubble-topped soaks after days on the beach, the family bathroom can be found on the first floor and has a shower and bath. Stocked with White Company products and featuring heated rails for the fluffiest, warmest towels, it promises pure comfort. To complete the picture is a downstairs w/c.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Trevear New Cottage:

A terrific property in an exceptional location.

Our 4th visit to Trevear Farm and an excellent stay yet again, the quality of everything that Sam Rachel and the team do is always of the highest standard.

A really excellent and relaxing place to stay

The cottage was so beautifully decorated, spacious yet cosy. It had everything we needed and more and the farm with its facilities were fantastic. You can see the sunrise from the kitchen and watch the sunset upstairs. The farm had stunning rolling hill views and the pool was an excellent addition to the stay. The set up was very baby friendly. We will be returning soon!

Wonderful property. Had everything you could possibly want from a holiday stay and very well equipped. The most important factor for me is cleanliness and a well maintained house and this was certainly demonstrated. High quality bedding/bed/furniture and the decor was just perfect! Excellent balance of quality and comfort. The hosts were just fantastic as were the facilities. Will certainly be booking again.

New Cottage is a wonderful property. Everything that could be thought of has been done and more. Thanks so much.
