Living

The expansive sitting room in tones of navy and dark red, with massive dual aspect windows overlooking the garden and countryside beyond, is simply stunning. With feature walls of exposed stone, a huge, flickering wood burner, and three large comfy sofas, this is a cosy, welcoming space to spend time together in. There are also bi-fold glass doors, which can be opened during warmer months to let the soft summer breeze float through - bliss!

In addition, there's a Smart TV with Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Freeview for film nights or for catching up on that must-watch series, and a SONOS for creating the soundtrack to your holiday. This is a wonderful space for coming together, whether its opening presents on Christmas morning or supping a post-dinner drink.

Eating

The stylish country kitchen, with tactile wooden worktops and gorgeous stone floor, is an elegant space and complete with all the essentials you'll need for cooking, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, American fridge freezer, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important wake-me-up brew.

Step through into the dining room with stone floor and pretty rug, and you'll discover a fabulous wooden dining table for six, plus two extra chairs should you have visitors, with views out into the garden.

In addition, in the utility room you'll find a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Sleeping and bathing

There are three beautiful bedrooms to choose from.

The master bedroom is a simply lovely space with a vaulted ceiling, whilst the far wall is all glass, meaning you can enjoy spectacular views over the rolling countryside and the canopy of trees. Boasting a super king-sized bed, it's a zip and link, meaning you can make it into twin beds should you need to. This incredible room has its own staircase leading from the sitting room and has plenty of storage for belongings, dressing table and two armchairs. Step through to the impressive en suite and you'll find two sinks, a freestanding bathtub for long soaks and a separate walk-in shower.

This room is interconnected with bedroom two, a charming twin room with vaulted ceiling and Velux window, chest of drawers and armchair. This room shares a staircase with bedroom three leading down to the utility room and second bathroom with large walk-in shower.

Bedroom three in shades of blue and white is situated opposite and has a zip and link super king-sized bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. With vaulted, beamed ceiling, Velux window and chest of drawers, this is a very peaceful room that shares the ground floor shower room.

All the beds come swathed in luxurious, hyper allergenic bedding, gorgeous linens and sumptuous pillows and throws for a peaceful nights' sleep. Both the en suite to the master bedroom and the downstairs shower room have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

Rosmelin has a beautiful, enclosed garden with jaw-dropping views over the surrounding fields, hills and woodland. To the front of the property lies a sun-soaked terrace, complete with outside seating and coffee table for lazy sunny afternoons, and a dining table and chairs for al fresco meals. On the other side of the house, there's a charming former mill stone that's been cleverly changed into a table, creating a perfect spot for morning coffee or afternoon tea. We just love the wild fields beyond, with carefully mown lawned paths to explore.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Rosmelin:

Very friendly and accommodating owner. So helpful and welcoming. Lovely house and so great to settle down in front of the fire during winter. Perfect launchpad to all the amazing pubs, beaches, and places around the area.

A stylish and beautifully decorated rural cottage, with all amenities needed. Absolutely beautiful views and the master bedroom is stunning. This is interconnecting with another bedroom. Would highly recommend - Andy, the owner, was very helpful and there if we needed him. Lemail House next door is a larger beautiful property that would be rented out separately or together if a bigger property is required. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Andy is a great host. The house is perfect for one or two couples or a family. The huge bed room with big windows gives a stunning view into the landscape. The house is very clean, light and calm.

Rosmelin exceeded expectations. The surroundings are idyllic and the house is beautifully styled inside. It was such a luxury to have triple aspect in the lounge and master bedroom... it brought the countryside indoors. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Please publish all of my comments above, I cannot recommend this property and Andy/ Lucy enough, just excellent and made our stay amazing.

A beautifully designed rural retreat! For a family with young children it was the perfect getaway providing a relaxing base to spend the evenings once the little ones were asleep.

Beautiful and in a really lovely quiet spot. Andy was there to check us in, but also was attentive in all needs, even running off to buy a new Toaster as old one was faulty and a few kitchen utensils we requested. Epic service

Lovely and clean, and in a great spot to go off and see the area.

Beautiful cottage, really well equipped kitchen, peaceful surroundings and lovely owners. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a calm holiday break.
