Set in the countryside close to the Camel Estuary, Padstow and Rock lies this gorgeous family cottage. A beautiful retreat sleeping six, it's a peaceful Cornish homestay away from it all that's also a perfect base for discovering the riches of Cornwall.
Surrounded by fields and rolling wooded countryside, it's a real escape from it all. Step inside and you'll discover gorgeous open plan living, dining and kitchen spaces, whilst upstairs airy, vaulted bedrooms await, with the master bedroom being en suite. With tranquil gardens to call your own, this is a wonderful retreat for families or a group of friends.
Rosmelin is just a short drive from the Camel Estuary, the fabulous seaside towns of Padstow and Port Isaac, iconic Rock and the surfer's paradise that is Polzeath, whilst inland Bodmin Moor is great for wild walking adventures, and The Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project are a must. With so much to do, a week just isn't enough!
Special 'Just for Two' rate
A special 'Just for Two' rate applies if there are only two guests staying at Rosmelin. The discount off the advertised rate is 10%. This only applies out of peak booking weeks and school holidays. When Rosmelin is booked for two guests, this is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.

Living
The expansive sitting room in tones of navy and dark red, with massive dual aspect windows overlooking the garden and countryside beyond, is simply stunning. With feature walls of exposed stone, a huge, flickering wood burner, and three large comfy sofas, this is a cosy, welcoming space to spend time together in. There are also bi-fold glass doors, which can be opened during warmer months to let the soft summer breeze float through - bliss!
In addition, there's a Smart TV with Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Freeview for film nights or for catching up on that must-watch series, and a SONOS for creating the soundtrack to your holiday. This is a wonderful space for coming together, whether its opening presents on Christmas morning or supping a post-dinner drink.
Eating
The stylish country kitchen, with tactile wooden worktops and gorgeous stone floor, is an elegant space and complete with all the essentials you'll need for cooking, including an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, American fridge freezer, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine for that all-important wake-me-up brew.
Step through into the dining room with stone floor and pretty rug, and you'll discover a fabulous wooden dining table for six, plus two extra chairs should you have visitors, with views out into the garden.
In addition, in the utility room you'll find a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Sleeping and bathing
There are three beautiful bedrooms to choose from.
The master bedroom is a simply lovely space with a vaulted ceiling, whilst the far wall is all glass, meaning you can enjoy spectacular views over the rolling countryside and the canopy of trees. Boasting a super king-sized bed, it's a zip and link, meaning you can make it into twin beds should you need to. This incredible room has its own staircase leading from the sitting room and has plenty of storage for belongings, dressing table and two armchairs. Step through to the impressive en suite and you'll find two sinks, a freestanding bathtub for long soaks and a separate walk-in shower.
This room is interconnected with bedroom two, a charming twin room with vaulted ceiling and Velux window, chest of drawers and armchair. This room shares a staircase with bedroom three leading down to the utility room and second bathroom with large walk-in shower.
Bedroom three in shades of blue and white is situated opposite and has a zip and link super king-sized bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. With vaulted, beamed ceiling, Velux window and chest of drawers, this is a very peaceful room that shares the ground floor shower room.
All the beds come swathed in luxurious, hyper allergenic bedding, gorgeous linens and sumptuous pillows and throws for a peaceful nights' sleep. Both the en suite to the master bedroom and the downstairs shower room have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
Rosmelin has a beautiful, enclosed garden with jaw-dropping views over the surrounding fields, hills and woodland. To the front of the property lies a sun-soaked terrace, complete with outside seating and coffee table for lazy sunny afternoons, and a dining table and chairs for al fresco meals. On the other side of the house, there's a charming former mill stone that's been cleverly changed into a table, creating a perfect spot for morning coffee or afternoon tea. We just love the wild fields beyond, with carefully mown lawned paths to explore.
Parking
There is plenty of private, off-road parking.
Babies and children
Babies and children are most welcome. A highchair and a travel cot are provided.
Dogs
One dog is very welcome at Rosmelin. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
Rosmelin sits in a perfect position close to the Camel Estuary and nearby Wadebridge. There's a huge number of amazing things to do in the area to keep you entertained. For surf and sea lovers, the north Cornish coastline is lined with awe-inspiring beaches, but those at Polzeath, Daymer Bay, Rock and Harlyn Bay are particularly good, whilst Padstow has seven sandy beaches within a short distance of each other. Cyclists and walkers alike will love the Camel Trail, which runs from Wadebridge to Padstow and enjoys spectacular views. Golfers are spoilt with the likes of St Enodoc, Trevose and St Kew being a short drive away - and with vistas to die for! History and culture lovers can enjoy the impressive gardens and houses that dot the area, such as Pencarrow House and Lanhydrock, whilst The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are well worth the slightly longer drive. Foodies will adore the huge selection of eateries in the area to choose from, with St Kew Inn (the owner's favourite) just five minutes up the road. In addition, there's Paul Ainsworth's pub Mariners in Rock, Paul Ainsworth and Rick Stein in Padstow, and Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac. There are also some lovely farm shops to explore such as St Kew Farm Shop, just five minutes' away, whilst Hawksfield with its amazing café and shops set on the way to Newquay is well worth a visit.
