Inside, forest tones blend with ocean palates and present sumptuous furnishings to create soothing living areas for year-round sanctuary. Meanwhile outside, dreamy decking overlooks rolling fields and is crowned by an alfresco hot tub for bubble-topped bliss under open skies. Tempting for solo getaways and romantic retreats alike, this one-bedroom haven is also dog-friendly, complete with a private paddock, dedicated doggy shower, and proximity to some of the best coastal walks and dog-friendly restaurants in the county for exhilarating endeavours together.
Living
Bathed in natural light and warmed by underfloor heating and a wood burning stove, Cyder Barn's lounge is a simply spectacular space. Pretty as a picture in shades of blue and cream, it features soothing coastal hues with nautical nuances to pay homage to the nearby sweep of magnificent Cornish coastline. Settle into the window-side sofa adorned with comfortable cushions and throws, or relax into the large armchair for moments of repose. In summer, the floor-to-ceiling sliding patio doors can be opened to meet the wood deck, and in winter, seek moments of hygge beside the wood burning stove. Vying for attention are captivating views from the windows, rolling across the private paddock and towards the village and countryside beyond. Meanwhile, for added entertainment is a Sonos sound system and 4K Sky television for those ambient evenings cosied up on the sofa with a glass of something special.
Eating
A sweet space for curating all your culinary favourites, Cyder Barn's fully equipped kitchen sets an idyllic backdrop for channelling creativity and is warmed by underfloor heating. Swathed in cream-kissed hues, this soothing sanctuary has everything you need for mealtimes, from its deep Belfast sink to its granite worktop space to its built-in appliances, including a Neff ceramic hob and fan oven. To set the rhythm, a baby blue Robert's radio resides on the side to soundtrack your staycation moments. Ready to welcome you for dining à deux, the kitchen has a dining table and chairs, meanwhile, the outdoor terrace stars an additional seating area with rural vistas for those balmy summer lunches and soul-lifting sundowners.
Sleeping & Bathing
Providing serene slumber, the stunning master bedroom takes inspiration from its countryside view, adorned in calming hues. Taking pride of place in the centre of the room, the king size bed promises a heavenly Hypnos mattress enswathed in White Company Egyptian cotton bedding for the deepest sleeps. For ultimate luxury underfoot, underfloor heating imbues warmth, while atop the bed, cushions and throws made by local producers in St Agnes offer even more sumptuousness. For movie nights in bed, a Smart television and Sonos sound system can be found here too. Completing the picture are matching bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and cupboard for stowing treasures.
The incredible bathroom has a stunning walk-in double shower room with two overhead rain shower heads. Exuding atmosphere and adding a rich organic feel are glazed stone tiles in muted hues, complemented by wooden furniture and stainless-steel inflections. For utmost comfort is underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, while adding ambience is LED mood lighting and an inbuilt sound system. Residing opposite the front door, a separate utility room also features an additional shower, just perfect for rinsing off after salt-kissed days on the beach and bathing doggy paws after long walks in the countryside.
Outside space
Step through the sliding glass doors from the living room onto the decking area to find a tranquil utopia outside. Starring a long wooden deck daubed in dappled light from the surrounding trees, Cyder Barn's deck makes for the most perfect spot to indulge in alfresco repasts around the dining table and simply recline with a drink or two. The pièce de résistance, a hot tub with stunning country views also rests on the deck and lures for magical mornings under open skies and evenings stargazing under a cosmic glow.
From the decking, take a few steps down to find the private paddock. A verdant idyll, the paddock paints a canvas-worthy scene with soft grass and a cute love bench and is perfect for picnics and playtime with your canine companion. Head over in the evening to catch the last of the evening sunshine and watch as a slow sunset paints the sky.
Dogs
Two dogs are very welcome at Cyder Barn. A sleeping basket will be left in the utility room, alongside a water bowl, food bowl and a dog towel. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
Babies and children
Children and one babe-in-arms are welcome at Cyder Barn. A travel cot and highchair can be available for your stay, on request.

In the Area
Whether you're seeking seaside serenity or rural reveries, Cyder Barn's enviable location close to the coast of North Cornwall promises spellbinding adventure. For a dose of beachside bliss, head to the expansive sands of Perranporth Beach - one of the largest beaches in Cornwall - and make use of the abundance of space for games on the shore. In St Agnes, Trevaunance Cove is the village's main beach and lifeguarded in summer, ideal for invigorating dips under beaming sunshine. You can also visit Chapel Porth, to the west, which is owned by the National Trust and has a great seasonal beach café. To stretch your legs, the South West Coast path is particularly beautiful along this stretch of coast, acting as the inspiration behind Winton Graham's Poldark. Take the path west from Trevaunance to find the iconic Wheal Coates, one of the best places in Cornwall for sunset photography.
For wholesome fare, The Miner's Arms is just a short stroll away from Cyder Barn and serves well-cooked, lovingly-presented dishes in a relaxed setting. Just remember to book a table in advance to avoid missing out. Offering further choice, the delightful village of St Agnes is a two-minute drive away and has lots of places to eat and drink. For a taste of après sea, the famed The Tap House, Schooners and Driftwood Spars each offer feel-good vibes and delicious food. Driftwood Spars is also renowned for its brewery which creates bespoke brews beside the sea. If you would like to savour a novel twist, you can also head to the world-renowned Watering Hole in Perranporth - a popular music venue and the UK's only bar and restaurant located on a beach.
