Living
The first floor open plan living-room is an amazing space, with enormous windows, huge Stuv log burner and vaulted ceiling; it's a complete joy, offering the most stunning views. The fabulous kitchen with every appliance to hand, sits at the other end of this space. Star gaze, storm watch, read or just relax and have a petit dodo (little sleep) in the separate sunroom with wood burner; both provide a great ambience in the evening to ensure you and your guests are cosy and warm whilst relaxing on the lush sofas.
Eating
Even if you are a keen cook or wish to have the wonderful Cornish chef Benedict Quinn entertain you (which we can arrange), the kitchen will be ideal for preparing any gastronomic delight. Port Isaac is just down the road so you can go and buy some crab, lobster or fresh fish and return to The Chapel and barbeque to the delights of your guests or use the range cooker for boiling, grilling or oven baking.
Sleeping
There are four heavenly bedrooms to choose from at The Chapel.
Each bedroom can be found on the ground floor, beautifully styled with Sweet Pea and Willow beds, Hypnos mattresses and sumptuously soft Egyptian cotton linens.
The master bedroom has an en suite along with a sun terrace for sipping morning lattes alfresco.
The second bedroom also has an en suite, whilst the third and fourth doubles share a family bathroom, complete with a separate shower.
Garden
With 1.5 acres of private gardens with stunning views and surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside you will really be pushed to stray from this lovely garden. With evenings spent using the outdoor dining area with barbecue, plancha, pig roaster, outdoor oven and outdoor log stove, why would you want to stray very far!
Facilities
There is underfloor heating throughout The Chapel. Large TV with Sky+ HD package and DVD player, DAB radio and Sonos music system. The kitchen has a Rangemaster with gas hob and electric oven, Nespresso machine, wine cooler, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The laundry room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer and a travel cot and highchair are supplied.
WiFi
The Chapel has WiFi so you can keep in touch with the outside world if you need to.
Dogs
One dog is very welcome. The owner will consider a second dog, by prior arrangement. Please contact the office on 01872 553491 to talk over. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
Parking
There is ample parking for cars in the grounds of The Chapel.
Exploring
The idyllic ancient fishing village of Port Isaac is 4 miles away, with its slipway where famous sea shanties are sung on Friday Evenings. Port Isaac has 2 Michelin Starred restaurants and one of the best seafood shops in Britain. Port Gaverne, next door, is another stunning little inlet and the perfect swimming spot. The hamlet of Treligga where The Chapel is situated under 30 minutes from Polzeath, Padstow and Rock.
Walks along the coastal path are a must from The Chapel as this area of north Cornwall is so beautiful. The beaches to visit are Trebarwith - a 15 minute walk along the cliffs, Tregardock - a 10 minute walk from the end of the garden, Polzeath - a 15 minute drive and Port Gaverne, a 10 minute drive away.
There are a plethora of restaurants and activities to enjoy nearby, the best ones are the St Kew Inn, the St Tudy Inn, The Waterfront Cafe Beach at Polzeath, Mariners in Rock and Nathan Outlaw at The Edge, and at the Fish Cafe in Port Isaac. Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein in their various coastal abodes offer a wonderful variety of dining day or night. The St Moritz spa and restaurant are well worth a visit too.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project and further south, Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens are all very special and unique places to visit to inspire.
