From the moment you enter this lovely home you'll be enveloped by a warm welcome, whilst the breathtaking interiors creates such a blissful bubble of luxury that you'll not want to leave. The interior designer owner (whose shop is next door) has created an incredible, peaceful homestay for four in a thoughtfully renovated Georgian town house which offers the most contemporary comforts whilst also celebrating the plethora of original features that makes this a truly unique retreat.
Living, eating and dining
Take the stairs from the front door and you'll find yourself in the gorgeous Georgian living space with warm wooden flooring throughout, huge sash windows and breath-taking original features making it a stylish, luxurious space in which to relax. To the front lies the wonderful sitting room with two pretty duck-egg blue sofas, a wonderfully aged leather occasional chair and the fabulous original marble fireplace. With incredible artwork, stunning lighting and fabulous wooden doors that can be shut to separate you from the dining room and kitchen, this is a perfect room for coming together in at the end of the day.
The stylish galley kitchen lies to the back, with wonderful white worksurfaces, dark blue cupboards, lovely tiled floor and impressive exposed stone wall, adding touches of character throughout the space. As well as being beautiful it's also brim-full of all the equipment you'll need to create feasts for your loved ones, as well as pretty kitchenware, tableware and the all-important coffee machine.
In between the kitchen and sitting room lies the dining room with a lovely table that easily seats eight, fabulous, exposed brick wall and a lovely leather occasional chair - perfect for curling up on with a book.
Sleeping and bathing
There are two equally beautiful bedrooms at Number Six, both located on the second floor, with cloud soft linens to ensure a blissful night's rest.
The master bedroom is located to the front of the retreat, with two gorgeous sash windows letting in lots of light, a huge super king bed, wonderful original fireplace and the pièce-de-resistance, the wonderful roll top bath - oh-so-romantic and totally luxurious. In addition, there's an en suite toilet.
The second bedroom lies to the back of the retreat, with a majestic king size four poster bed, original fireplace and wonderful views over the rooftops and Devonshire hills beyond. You'll also find an ensuite shower room, perfect for brisk wake-me-up moments before exploring your beautiful surroundings.
On the third floor you'll find the stunning family bathroom in shades of blue and white with a stunning roll top bath and rainfall shower overhead. There's also a separate toilet on this floor. Downstairs, you will find a toilet beside the kitchen. All bathrooms come with heated towel rails to keep towels fluffy and warm.
Babies and children
Babies under six months of age and children over five are welcome at Number Six. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Please note that Number Six is split over four floors and is not suitable for toddlers and young children. Please call to add a babe in arms to your booking.
Outdoor space
There is a pretty pergola area at the rear of Number Six with a dining table and chairs for 8, along with a gas BBQ positioned in the quirky courtyard for alfresco feasts.
Parking
There are two parking spaces situated behind the property. Access to parking area is via a narrow driveway 2.20m at its narrowest. Additional parking can be found in nearby car parks.

In the Area
Totnes is a fabulous town to have as your base. As well as having an alternative vibe, it's also home to some fabulous boutique and independent shops, a twice-weekly market and a monthly Sunday Good Food market. You'll find plenty of places to eat such as Rumour, the Waterside Bistro and Italian eateries such as The Curator and Jano. Treat yourself to a luxury Italian picnic basket from Jano - pick your favourite spot, indulge in some Italian charcuterie and Jano will do the rest, including tidying it away! Places to visit include the castle in Totnes, the South Devon Railway (this runs between Buckfastleigh and Totnes) or take a trip on the River Dart from Totnes to Dartmouth. Other places of interest include Sharpham Vineyard and Dartington Hall Estate which has a stunning house, listed gardens, cinema and shops.
