Living

Traditional meets contemporary at our Cotswold dream, where period features marry seamlessly with modern luxuries for ultimate comfort and style. Immediately inviting, the living area boasts sage tones complemented with country prints and a royal-blue wood burning stove set within a grand inglenook fireplace - perfect for those cosy evenings gathered beside flickering embers. With two sofas and two armchairs, leisurely mornings and relaxed evenings are hard to resist, listening to music through the Bose speaker, watching your favourite Netflix show, or choosing from the selection of books and games.

For moments of unrivalled relaxation, an oh-so cosy snug sits next to the kitchen, bathed in light from large garden-view windows. Home to sumptuous sofas, a Smart TV and a Bose speaker, this is the perfect spot for curling up and enjoying blissful moments of serenity. Adding even more choice, the ultimate space for aperitifs and movie nights awaits downstairs in the form of an incredible, 14th century cellar turned cinema room. Featuring exposed brickwork, historic archways and cosy nooks, this stunning space is a real hidden gem full of atmosphere and ambience.

Please note, The Georgian House is a period cottage with a charming stone, spiral staircase leading to the cellar. Please do take care when climbing, especially those with mobility issues or small children.

Eating and dining

Pairing the same beautiful sage hues as the lounge, the open-plan kitchen and dining room is the heart of the home. With French doors opening onto an enclosed courtyard garden, it brings the outside in on sunny days for idyllic country living. Alongside all the equipment and accoutrements you could need for cooking up culinary sensations, you'll also find a dishwasher, washing machine, and the all-important coffee machine in the kitchen. Seating the whole family, a farmhouse kitchen table, chairs and cosy bench with plump cushions completes this space, overlooked by exposed beams and botanical prints.

Sleeping

There are three divine bedrooms to choose from at The Georgian House. For those seeking a serene space where lingering lie-ins are a must, the main bedroom awaits dressed in calming neutral tones blended with warm, chocolatey hues. Framed by original wooden beams and period features, every inch of this darling space is curated with character and charm. For blissful slumber, a super-king bed resides beside an alcove window, topped with super-soft throws and pillows. Meanwhile, drawing the eye is an open plan ensuite bathroom with a spacious shower and luxury slipper bath for relaxing soaks after Cotswolds adventures. In addition, there is a separate toilet. Overlooking Market Square is the beautiful second bedroom, brushed with light tones perfectly balanced throughout, this soothing haven is just perfect for drawn-out mornings with breakfast in bed. Complementing the scene are twin window seats, an authentic feature fireplace, and attractive furnishings. Situated next to this bedroom is our retreat's main bathroom, complete with a bath with an overhead shower.

Finally, a delightfully sweet third bedroom can be found upstairs. An ideal room for little ones, it features two single beds as well as a daybed, and benefits from a chest of drawers and space for hanging items. Set within the eaves, this bedroom has gently sloping ceilings that lend a sense of quirky character and a cosy feel to the space.

A separate toilet can also be found on the first floor.

Outdoor space

Follow the kitchen doors through to the suntrap garden for tranquil moments in dreamy quietude. Ready for alfresco meals, a large, glass-topped table for six rests on the patio, surrounded by comfy wicker chairs and the wonderful addition of an outdoor BBQ. On sun-soaked days, recline and relax on the sun-loungers, positioned below the dappled light of overhanging trees - perfect for whiling away heavenly hours in Boutique style.

In the Area

The Georgian House is set on the High Street of the picture-perfect village of Castle Combe in Wiltshire. Full of quintessential Cotswolds magic, the village's historic streets are lined with golden stone cottages that capture both the eye and the lens with their aesthetic charm. Stroll out of your luxury retreat and explore the village, before heading to The White Hart pub next door, or The Castle Inn opposite for hearty feasts. For delectable brunches and afternoon teas, The Manor House Michelin star restaurant is less than 200 yards away, while The Salutation Inn is but 1.5 miles away and offers further choice of delicious food and drink. For the crème de la crème, you can't beat Lucknam Park just 4 miles away, the spot to savour Michelin star dining within an opulent setting. To uncover fascinating secrets about the village's rich history, the local St Andrew's Church with its working Medieval clock and Warhorse exhibition is well worth a stop. Or, to retrace the footsteps of time and the silver screen, visit the National Trust-run Lacock Abbey. Located 9 miles away in Lacock, this 13th Century abbey is where Harry Potter and the much-loved period drama Downton Abbey were filmed. For walks, the village is laced with a network of weaving footpaths and trails that are wonderful for gentle strolls, while for something a little different, you can polish your swing at The Manor House's Golf Club. It's also a great idea to keep an eye on Castle Combe Circuit's line up of events for adrenaline-fuelled entertainment, car shows and vintage celebrations.
