Just perfect for retreats with family and friends, our three-bedroom, honey-stone abode embraces luxurious country living with comfortable furnishings, soothing tones, and tasteful décor throughout. Enswathed in bucolic beauty, its private gardens lend further escapism and encourage you outside with a fitted alfresco kitchen, cosy outdoor seating, and a bubbling hot tub set beneath a pergola. From restful downtime spent inside and dreamy outdoor living in the garden, to unforgettable local adventures nearby, fairytale escapes wait to be uncovered at Thimbleberry.

Living

A picture of cottagecore dreaminess, the living area in Thimbleberry radiates comfort. Bathed in natural light from inset windows and washed with calming hues, it tempts for moments of tranquillity and time gathered together. For those sumptuous mornings and convivial evenings, a large royal blue Loaf Sugar Bum corner sofa and a powder grey footstool take pride of place next to an inglenook fireplace. Topped with an original, exposed wood mantel, this grand fireplace houses a wood burning stove just made for cosy evenings spent fireside. For total bliss, curl up with your favourite book or switch on the Samsung Frame TV and peruse SKY Stream, Netflix and Amazon for the latest must-watch. Adding an even cosier dimension to the room, the lounge is adjoined by a snug reading area with comfortable armchairs, lamps, and a SONOS amp with floor speakers.

Eating and dining

Deliciously inviting, the modern kitchen with underfloor heating sets the scene for languid brunches and atmospheric dinners together. With a bright and airy colour palette contrasted with charcoal-coloured units and splashes of green from the garden-view windows, it's a real dream. Rustle up your favourite meals and make the most of the useful accoutrements, including a range cooker and two-drawer dishwasher. Making those waking morning moments even more heavenly is a Nespresso coffee machine, and for those special celebrations you'll find the wonderful addition of two wine fridges. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the utility room.

Take a seat at the kitchen's breakfast island or gather around the family-sized dining table in the adjacent dining room and enjoy time together. With period features and contemporary touches harmoniously balanced, both spaces are simply divine. For added ambience, SONOS speakers can be found throughout the ground floor.

Sleeping & Bathing

Sweet dreams come easy at Thimbleberry with three wonderful bedrooms to choose from. The first bedroom, located on the first floor, features a decadent super king bed which can also be turned into two singles if required. With robin's egg-blue wainscotting, white beams and splashes of colour from bright lampshades and plump cushions, it creates a truly restful sanctuary for slumber.

The second bedroom, also on the first floor, is equally as lovely, starring a French king-size bed draped in fine linens and shouldered by bedside tables. With a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and views over the garden and countryside beyond, it is an utterly cosy space just idyllic for long lie-ins under a cloud-soft duvet.

Upstairs on the second floor, the pièce de résistance awaits. A beautiful master suite set within the eaves, this bedroom features a double bed, built-in cupboards, a reading chair and coffee maker. For that extra splash of luxury, it also benefits from an antique-style washstand in a rich shade of teal and beautiful, free-standing copper bathtub for bubble-topped moments.

Completing the picture is a bathroom on the first floor. Set within the eaves and brushed with a warm colour palette, it has built-in storage, a heated towel rail and a large walk-in, rainfall shower. All bathrooms feature The White Company toiletries, adding a little extra luxury to those self-care rituals.

Outdoor space

For ultimate indoor-outdoor living, Thimbleberry is a veritable paradise. Stepping outside into the garden, to uncover a walled patio garden where lazy sunshine days and balmy evenings are best enjoyed. Perfectly curated for alfresco meals, it is designed with a fully-equipped, fitted kitchen, complete with a built-in Green Egg barbeque, sink and two-ring gas hob. With every detail considered, it has all you could need for those outdoor feasts, down to a full set of outdoor cutlery and crockery.

While the food sizzles and the sun shines, sink into a range of comfortable outdoor seating, including a dining table with six chairs, a three-piece lounge set, and two lounger reading chairs with footstools. Set beneath a wooden pergola strung with fairy-lights, the dreamy hot tub provides a serene spot to sit back and unwind beneath the stars. Elsewhere, from the patio area a series of steps lead down to terraced gardens with manicured lawns, perfect for whiling away afternoons over picnics and page-turners.

Please note, for security purposes when the property is vacant, there is a CCTV camera located on the exterior of the retreat. However, it will not be active or in use during guest stays.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Thimbleberry :

Accommodation was amazing, it is the dream Cotswold cottage. The interior is stunning and been finished to a very high level. Very remote so perfect if you are after a relaxing getaway but is still close enough to the shops if you need anything. The owner had put up Christmas tress and decorations and it looked amazing, the house really gave us "The Holiday" vibes.

Thimbleberry offered a very cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a social dinning and kitchen area, and amazing fireplace that’s ideal for chilly evenings. The highlight is definitely the hot tub, providing a relaxing spot to unwind after wet walks! The lovely village setting, with its quiet lanes and very convenient on the A419 straight into cirencester or up the road to the green dragon!

This is a lovely house with a beautiful garden. If you don’t mind going out in the car, it is near Cirencester for restaurants or to buy food to bring back to the house. The area has very friendly people in it and it has good recycling/eco arrangements in place.

Fabulous location and accommodation, it really was a home from home with additional luxuries too. This cottage is suitable for all seasons; outdoor cooking area for summer and cosy blankets and fire for winter. Will be booking another stay again soon!

Sweet and charming little cottage in idyllic setting. A welcome hamper was a lovely touch ! Would stay again. Thank you P & K

A beautiful house, very comfortably furnished in a great location to explore the Cotswolds. The hot tub was lovely - lots of room for 3 of us!

Really beautiful cottage with charming features in a fabulous location. Would highly recommend staying here for a family trip to the Cotswolds.

A magnificent property that we would have no hesitation coming back to again and again. The position within the village was perfect and the adjacency to the primary routes to the other Cotswold villages (without any of the road noise) made this a perfect site. I don't think the accommodation and garden could be improved

So happy with this cottage! Had a lovely stay. So peaceful and home was just as described. Had all the items one would need for a great escape.

Beautiful idyllic cottage, great location. Beautiful relax and recuperation stay :)

Gorgeous,cosy retreat in March

Such a beautiful place - thanks so much for having us.

Absolutely idyllic location and cottage. Lovely neighbourhood and the best location for a perfect rural and rustic getaway.

A splendid place to stay in a tucked away village still only 15 minutes to the centre of Cirencester.
