Inviting with its beautifully manicured gardens and historic houses, Sezincote Garden, Bourton House Garden and Batsford Arboretum are all within a mile of Lower Gables, promising an abundance of breathtaking scenes within easy reach of your front door. Just a short drive away, the picture-perfect towns and villages of the Cotswolds beckon, from charming Snowshill to the vibrant market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. Shakespeare's Stratford-on-Avon and Churchill's Blenheim Palace are also within easy reach.

Living and dining

In an open plan layout, the living, kitchen, and dining space is bathed in natural light, with bi fold doors stretching across the far side of the room to illuminate every dreamy detail. Seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living, the space invites you to open the doors on balmy days and relish the best of indoor outdoor living.

The living space radiates contemporary calm, with two velvet sofas in forest shades resting either side of the sleek media wall and flickering feature fireplace. Enjoy cinematic evenings in front of the Smart TV, complete with Netflix, Sky TV and Sky Sports.

At the heart of the room, a modern farmhouse style kitchen with granite worktops sits alongside whitewashed oak pillars, extending a gentle nod to the retreat's heritage. The kitchen is well-equipped, with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge with a freezer compartment and a dishwasher. Two barstools rest on the island, creating a sociable setting for relaxed meal preparation. Ensuring dinner pairings are kept perfectly crisp, a wine fridge adds a touch of luxury, while a Nespresso coffee machine and cafetiere promise delicious, aromatic blends for your first morning brew.

Inviting four to dine comfortably, a glass-topped dining table rests at the far side of the room, with a soothing aspect of the outdoor living space. Should you need to catch up on an email or two, a writing desk can be found beside the dining table.

In addition, you'll find a utility room with a washer/dryer for guest use.

Sleeping and bathing

Nestled in the eaves of Lower Gables, discover two light-filled bedrooms, both of which feature ensuites for added convenience.

Offering flexible sleeping arrangements, the master bedroom features a super king zip-and-link bed, which can be made into twin beds on request. For stowing belongings, there's a built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers, while for pampering moments basked in the morning light, you'll find a dressing table and a mirror. With a large rainfall shower at its centre and a separate handheld attachment, the ensuite wet room is a dream space for spa-like serenity, complete with a heated towel rail to ensure towels remain fluffy and warm.

Promising blissful repose, the second bedroom is home to a comfortable double bed, dressed with cushions and throws in verdant shades that complement the tranquil scenes beyond the Velux windows. A chest of drawers and built-in wardrobe offer ample storage, with the addition of a dressing table and mirror providing a quiet space to get ready each day. Mirroring the uniqueness of the first ensuite, the second wet room is designed for restorative luxury, complete with a large rainfall shower and separate handheld attachment, as well as a heated towel rail to keep towels luxuriously warm.

You'll also find a downstairs toilet within the cloakroom.

Outside space

Step outside to uncover a secluded gravelled courtyard, with relaxed seating for four, complete with a table and parasol for sun-dappled afternoons spent alfresco. With the table offering two settings, you'll find a low level for enjoying aperitifs and nibbles, and a high level for dining.
