Welcoming up to four guests, it's the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds, with delightful neutral interiors, a cosy wood burning stove and a heart-warming open fire. Savour delicious meals from the award-winning Thyme family restaurants, The Swan and The Ox Barn, both of which are within walking distance from Laurel Cottage. The picture-perfect towns of Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are well worth a visit and are only a short drive away, with pretty boutiques and enchanting scenery.
Living
Residing at the front of this oh-so-homely retreat, you will find the beautiful lounge, dressed in calming neutral shades. A sumptuous sofa and two occasional chairs offer plenty of space to relax and unwind, with the addition of a cute window seat at the far side of the room. A handsome wood burning stove rests proudly within a large inglenook fireplace for snug moments spent fireside. Light the fire and settle in for a cosy evening in front of the TV, with a Sky Glass package to cater to all your entertainment needs, with Netflix, Sky Movies, Sky Sports and BT Sports all available. There's also a Bluetooth speaker to soundtrack your favourite staycation playlist.
Retreat to the elegant snug with two comfortable armchairs, plush blankets, and a timeless open fire, settled within a beautiful cobble stone fireplace. Curl up in front of the flickering flames with a gripping book and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this soul soothing sanctuary. Tune into your favourite radio station on the Roberts radio and catch up on an email or two, with a rustic writing desk set before the cute cottage window.
Eating and dining
A charmingly modern kitchen can be found at the back of the retreat, with all your in-house chef could possibly need to create culinary masterpieces. You'll find a Smeg toaster and kettle, a fridge/freezer, Lacanche oven with gas hob, a washing machine and a dishwasher. A tumble drier can be found in the outside storeroom at the front of the cottage.
Steps lead from the lounge into the darling breakfast room, with a rustic table and rattan chairs for four, just made for pared back meals with those you hold dearest. On blue sky mornings, let the outside in through the sweet Dutch door as you sip fresh coffee and prepare your holiday itinerary.
There's underfloor heating in the kitchen and breakfast room to keep toes toasty and warm as you prepare meals.
Sleeping and bathing
On the first floor, you will find two equally beautiful bedrooms.
The master bedroom is a neutral dream, with an exquisite king-sized bed, dressed in sumptuous linens and soft-toned cushions and throws to ensure a blissful night's sleep. With two chest of drawers and a wardrobe, there's ample storage space, plus a rustic dressing table.
Bedroom two has quirky copper bed frames which beautifully complement the harmonious oatmeal-hued interiors. For flexible sleeping arrangements, the beds can be set as twins or as a king-sized bed. You'll also find a built-in wardrobe and a chest of drawers to store your belongings.
The carefully curated interiors continue into the family bathroom, with a large walk-in shower with a rainfall head and handheld attachment. Bramley products ensure a touch of luxury for your wake-me-up moments, and a heated towel rail guarantees towels are kept fluffy and warm. There's also the luxurious addition of underfloor heating for those cosy living moments.
Outside space
Step outside into the cute cottage garden, split over three levels with a sweet patio, verdant lawn and a delightful sun terrace. On the lower level, you will find a Weber barbeque and an outdoor dining table with cushioned seating for four, plus a large parasol for meals alfresco on balmy summer days. Steps lead up to the luscious lawn, following onto the raised terrace, where you will find two rattan lounge chairs and a firepit for keeping warm under moonlit skies. There are also sun loungers available during the summer months, perfect for soaking up the afternoon rays. Please note that the summer house is not available for guest use.

The Cotswold Wildlife Park is just over ten minutes from Laurel Cottage, which is a great fun-filled family day out. Discover the iconic Daylesford Farm Shop, only half an hour from Southrop, plus the Cotswold Water Park is well worth a visit, with a wide range of activities, from water sports, to cycling and horse riding.
