Living
Step inside to uncover a swoon-worthy living space, adorned in cosy cottage style and boasting an array of remarkable antiquities to ignite curious minds. Every inch of this snug room is truly captivating, promising darling touches at each turn and pairing original features with luxurious interior details. From the rustic exposed beams and traditional ceiling feature, to a handsome inglenook fireplace with white-washed brick and wood burning stove; settle down fireside to delve into dreamy retreat moments. Stretching the full length of the cottage, this is a stunning space to gather and unwind, with a TV offering Netflix for those relaxing nights in. Take a moment of quietude in the comfort of the Nkuku velvet armchairs, we just adore the rich moss hue of their fabric, contrasted with a sustainable mango wood-frame. If you prefer to stretch out on a sofa, the handsome Chesterfield in brushed leather offers a dream spot to rest after a day of exploring. The living room leads into a library nook, a spellbinding space made for the lovers of literary greats and moments of reflection.
Due to the characterful nature of Little Heron, with charming winding stairs to the first floor, the property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.
Eating
The beautiful, open-plan kitchen and dining space is perfect for crafting delicious delights, well-equipped with all you could need from a dishwasher, gas hob and all-important Nespresso machine, to a unique, gas-fired steak grill with coals. For the enthusiasts among your party, there's a TV with DVD player in the kitchen, made for seeking inspiration from your beloved culinary artist and following along with favoured recipes. It's no secret that the charming country kitchen style of this space will enchant and inspire any budding chef or food-lover, with exposed brick features and calming natural hues throughout. Come together for slow brunches and feasting around the darling dining table and savour previous time with loved ones in the heart of this wonderful home.
In addition, you'll find a washer-dryer in the kitchen for your use.
Sleeping
Little Heron has two heavenly bedrooms to choose from.
The master bedroom is located on the first floor. This lovely space comes with a sumptuous king-sized bed from And So To, with a gorgeous Vispring mattress, a double wardrobe, drawers, and an elegant dressing table just made for pampering. With sage green tones, a dazzling wooden headboard, and gorgeous cream furniture, this oh-so-calming bedroom is a wonderful space to settle after days exploring Lymington's delights.
The darling second bedroom with a king-sized bed is tucked away on the top floor, boasting tranquil views of the beautiful Lymington River. With a freestanding hanging rail, drawers, a shoe rack, and a dressing table with a stool, this sumptuous boudoir is abundant with space for your belongings.
Both beds come swathed in luxurious linens, cloud-soft bedding and opulent cushions and throws, ensuring the most blissful slumbers.
Each bedroom also comes with a Digital Roberts radio with Bluetooth connectivity, just perfect for unwinding with a soothing soundtrack before bedtime.
Bathing
The opulent family bathroom painted in olive green hues and enhanced with lustrous gold detailing is based next to the master bedroom, where you will uncover a luxurious freestanding roll-top bathtub for balmy, bubble-topped soaks, as well as an elegant wash basin. In addition, there is an invigorating handheld shower above the bathtub for those refreshing wake up moments.
Outdoor space
Step outside to uncover the lovely garden space, complete with two terraces, a small putting green and beautifully bordered by fragrant flowers. Adjacent to the kitchen door, a dining table with four chairs rest next to a lovely red brick wall adorned in climbing vines, which serves as a delightful backdrop for enchanting evenings spent dining alfresco. Towards the end of the garden is another table with two chairs, which is the perfect setting for afternoon tea on sun-soaked days.
Parking
While there is no private parking at Little Heron, there is space to unload your car outside the retreat. A parking clock is provided at the retreat for parking in one of the nearby New Forest Council car parks, free of charge.
Babies and children
Babes in arms (non-mobile babies) and children over 7 years are welcome at Little Heron. A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request - please bring your own bedding if you require use of the travel cot.

Set in the heart of Lymington and within the New Forest, this gorgeous riverside abode is perfectly positioned to spend dreamy days wandering both countryside and coastline.
This bustling port town is home to many boutique stores, markets, and independent eateries. For those yearning for charming country pubs, Lymington has many cosy taverns, including The Ship Inn and The Kings Head Pub, which is only a stroll from your retreat. If you're in pursuit of an unforgettable fine dining experience, the bijou Magic Duck serves delicious, seasonal dishes, while The Elderflower, an award winning and Michelin commended restaurant, serves a myriad of flavours through their tasting menus, whilst The Pig in the quaint village of Brockenhurst is only a short drive away.
