Set in a secluded location on an expansive private estate near to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands, uncover our modern country farmhouse for six plus two dogs, promising views of land, loch and mountains from every aspect. Brimming with charm and whimsy, endless enchantment awaits within the realm of Coruanan Farmhouse, with two sitting rooms separated by a dual-aspect wood burner, bi-fold doors leading out to a wide decking area wrapping around the front of the farmhouse with sun loungers, a country inspired kitchen and dining space for curating culinary masterpieces with your closest kin. Promising flexible sleeping arrangements, uncover three zip-and-link super king bedrooms, one of which resides on the ground floor. With uninterrupted views of Ben Nevis and Loch Linnhe to the front of the farmhouse and private hills and tracks to the back, while away everlasting moments alfresco from dawn to dusk, with seating for six, a wood-fired hot tub and an alfresco wood burner with seating. You'll be able to enjoy all that the estate can offer with miles of private walks, a natural swimming pond for well-versed wild swimmers in search of soul-soothing dips and a secluded riverside alpine chalet cabin alongside the estate's own river, where you can savour mealtimes, by arrangement, in the great outdoors. As night falls, gather around the outdoor log burner to exchange stories across flickering flames. Tours of the estate can be organised by prior arrangement aboard a Polaris Ranger for a fee, where you can uncover some of the best walking trails, wildlife, fishing spots, and wild swimming in the area as well as learning about the rich, local history. Whether you're looking to climb the almighty Ben Nevis, experience paddle boarding with breathtaking backdrops in the area, or take in the Highland scenes in a more leisurely manor aboard the Jacobite Steam Train (as used in all of the Harry Potter films as the 'Hogwarts Express'), discover the beauty of your Highland surroundings from Coruanan Farmhouse. There are a host of excellent places to eat nearby too, from The Lime Tree on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Michel Roux Jr.'s Seasgair at Inverlochy Castle and sample fresh seafood at Lochleven Seafood Café on Loch Leven.

Living

Promising a beautiful balance of plugged and un-plugged entertainment, uncover two living spaces either side of the dual aspect wood burning stove. Sash windows offer alternative aspects of the breathtaking views of Loch Linnhe and Ben Nevis, with the addition of bifold doors which open onto a decked patio area for soaking up the sun in the warmer months. With colour drenched walls in Edward Bulmer's Jonquil, and calming Ian Mankin fern inspired fabrics, sink into deep, plush sofas in soothing shades of pink and sage, before relaxing fireside in front of the Smart TV, or with aperitifs and board games in the formal sitting room. A welcome sight for younger party members, you will also find an Xbox within the TV room.


Eating and dining

A light-filled space with modern Shaker cabinets and quartz worktops, the farmhouse style kitchen is a dream for preparing meals and dining with family and friends. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you could need, including a double oven, large hob, and an integrated fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. You will also find a microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and a milk frother for speciality coffees of every variety. Adding to the country cottage charm, and carefully thought out in its position, a Belfast sink with a sweet hideaway curtain in Barneby Gates ikat heart fabric to match the blinds looks out onto captivating views of the private estate with its winding forestry tracks and mountains beyond.

Gather for mealtimes around the extendable farmhouse style kitchen table, with two upholstered chairs at either end, upholstered banquette seating and benches promising ample seating for six to eight. Relax with your morning coffee on the comfortable striped loveseat, a calming space to savour slow mornings before immersing yourself in a world of Highland charm and adventure.


Sleeping and bathing

Offering flexible sleeping arrangements, Coruanan Farmhouse has three super king zip-and-link bedrooms. Nina Campbell's foret wallpaper in emerald shades adorns the hallway and guides you to the first and second bedrooms, both of which can be found on the first floor, with a third bedroom residing on the ground floor.

The first bedroom, colour drenched in calming plaster pink hues with panelling, invites for blissful repose amidst cloud-soft linens, with Barneby Gates black out curtains at each side of the room and a headboard in duck egg blue. You'll find plenty of space for storing belongings within the chest of drawers and built-in hanging space. There's also a dressing table nestled beneath the sash windows, promising inspiring vistas of rolling Scottish hills. The ensuite bathroom with an enclosed bath and overhead rainfall shower is awash with colour, with blue panelling and tiles in complementary shades. There's also a heated towel rail to keep towels fluffy and warm and a large vanity unit for storage.

Bedroom two is equally inviting, with built-in storage and hanging space either side of the bed creating a nook for the striking blue headboard, and all dressed with cushions and throws in calming harmonised tones. Barneby Gates black out curtains adorn the windows on both sides, and for pampering moments, you'll also find a dressing table. In addition, an ensuite bathroom with an enclosed bath and an overhead shower welcomes for refreshing mornings and soothing soaks, with a heated towel rail and large vanity unit too.

With warm, limewashed wooden panelling on both the walls and ceiling, the third bedroom features a striped Ian Mankin headboard paired with ruffled cushions and sumptuous throws and beautiful Barneby Gates black out curtains in soft green tones. Stow treasures in the built-in cupboards and wicker baskets, with additional hanging space for your belongings.

Opposite the third bedroom, you will find the family shower room in rich verdant shades. Step into the large walk-in shower, complete with a rainfall shower head and a separate handheld attachment. There is also a heated towel rail for keeping towels fluffy and warm and a large vanity unit for storage.


Outdoor space

Relish the best of alfresco living at Coruanan Farmhouse, with peaceful spaces to relax and soak up the enchanting loch and mountain views. A table and chairs for six rests to the side of the retreat, with the addition of two sun loungers for basking in the summer sun. After sundown, rest beside the outdoor wood burning stove, before retreating to the wood-fired hot tub for moonlit dips beneath star-studded skies.

Reconnect with your surroundings with a dip in the natural swimming pond for experienced wild swimmers, just moments from Coruanan Farmhouse. An alpine chalet cabin rests amidst enchanting woodland alongside the estate's beautiful private river for riverside reveries, with a rustic indoor table and alfresco dining bench, enjoy magical meals with nature as your backdrop. You'll also find a firepit for toasting marshmallows and sharing whimsical tales at dusk. By prior arrangement, guests with their own equipment can enjoy trout fishing on the beautiful, meandering river that runs through the estate and out into the vast sea loch. The estate has its own shoreline reachable via private roads from Coruanan Farmhouse where otters, seals, sea eagles and oystercatchers can be spotted. Be sure to bring your binoculars!


Parking

There is plenty of parking at Coruanan Farmhouse, with the addition of an EV charging point for electric vehicles.


Babies and children

Babies and children are most welcome at Coruanan Farmhouse. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.


Dogs

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome at Coruanan Farmhouse. For exercising dogs, you will also find an enclosed fenced garden and private tracks all over the estate. An additional fee is charged per dog per week or short break.


In the Area

By prior arrangement for a fee, take a private tour of the Coruanan Estate, where you can discover the best walks, fishing and wild swimming spots, as well as spotting Scottish wildlife, flora and fauna and learn about the rich Scottish history of the estate and local area. Pamper yourself at a spa retreat room only a few minutes from Coruanan Farmhouse, reachable via private roads, offering a full menu of treatments with a guest discount. Climb the almighty Ben Nevis, with the Visitor Centre located under 15-minutes from Coruanan Farmhouse. Only three miles away, visit Aonach Mor, home to the UK's only mountain gondola. Experience skiing, snowboarding, zip wiring and high-octane biking amidst the breathtaking scenes of the Scottish Highlands.
