Dorset has a fabulous coastline to explore - with it stretching over 88 miles, you're bound to stumble upon a gem or two, but we've put together three of our favourites.

Studland Beach, nr Swanage
Surely Britain's sexiest beach, this four-mile stretch of white sands is lapped by calm turquoise waters and backed by dunes and heathland. Dorset’s beautiful bikini-clad bathers hog the more accessible southern stretch, while naturists bare all on the desert-island northern end.
Chesil Beach
Soak up the romantic atmosphere of this geological wonder that inspired authors J Meade Faulkner (Moonfleet) and Ian McEwan (On Chesil Beach). Ideal for fossil hunting, this 18-mile long stretch of flint and chert pebbles was formed at least 6,000 years ago.
Lulworth Cove
Step foot on Natural World Heritage Coastline sculpted by the raw power of the river and sea over 10,00 years ago. History aside, this is some of Britain’s most gob-smacking seaside scenery, and you can hop on a boat to neighbouring Durdle Door where and take a magical swim under the rock arch. If you fancy somewhere a little more remote and romantic, ramble onto Kimmeridge Bay for a spot of rock pooling.
