This oh-so-popular beach is the go-to for St Agnes visitors. Located on the north Cornish coast, the surf here is good whilst the old harbour and caves are great for exploring. During low tide it’s also possible to walk to the neighbouring beach at Trevellas Porth.
Take the slope down through the valley below St Agnes and you’ll soon emerge onto Trevaunance Cove. The sandy beach is lined with beach huts, strewn with rock pools and offers great surfing too.
For something a little different, why not try your hand at kayaking? Koru Kayaking are based here and run trips around the fascinating north Cornish coastline.
If you prefer to keep on shore, there are lots of great caves to explore, whilst it’s worth the steep climb along the coastal path for incredible views.
Once you’ve had your fill and are in need of a pick-me-up, head to the Driftwood Spars pub for a tipple or two – they even brew their own ale.
Dogs are permitted on this beach all year but must be kept on a lead in summer.
