Mevagissey Feast Week
This brilliant festival is thought to be the longest running in Cornwall, since 1754. Originally a religious festival in honour of St Peter, it has evolved over the years and is now a week-long celebration and combines traditional and contemporary events, taking place in late June every year.
Featuring exhibitions, demonstrations, live music and lots of food to eat (with a strong focus on fish), there’s also choirs, bands, flora dances and lots of things for children to do. Parades happen daily and include boat and raft races and a firework display.
