Daylesford Farm began its journey to dedicate their farmland to organic and sustainable produce forty years ago, first in Staffordshire before traversing onto the earthy soil of the Cotswolds. Farming responsibly and mindfully, Daylesford prides itself on its connection to the earth and being pioneers in organic farming; making our planet a healthy and better place for everything and everyone in it.
Nearly everything that is sold in their shop and served in their café and restaurant comes straight from their Market Garden, Bakery and Creamery. Daylesford even invites you to explore their 2,000 acres of beautiful farmland, so you can see how the animals are nurtured and how their fruit and vegetables are produced to help educate and demonstrate genuine organic farming. Anything that isn’t made from their home-grown and well-nurtured produce is sourced from artisan supplies who have the same ethos in terms of quality and sustainability.
As well as focusing on the importance of organic farming, Daylesford also is striving for zero waste policy as well as aiming too use 100% recycling, reusable or compostable packaging. They even offer discounts at the Food-To-Go counters if you bring a clean and reusable cup of salad box. Avoiding pesticides and farming with a mindful nature keeps all their produce is the best it can be for both taste and for the environment.
Have a taste of some of their ravishing produce at their on-site café and restaurant. The Daylesford Café serves a wide range of delights for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy one of their special smoothies or cold-presses to get you started for the day alongside a nutritional selection for breakfast with continental favourites such as pancakes, porridge, toasted sourdough and more heartier dishes like eggs benedict, smoked salmon and creamed mushrooms. At lunch sample of one their delicious mains and winter salads, made from the best seasonal produce such as leeks, parsnip, red cabbage and butternut squash.
The Old Spot Restaurant is also open for breakfast and lunch, however be sure to book a table for the evening at this popular establishment. Whether you decide to have an evening of nibbles such as antipasti or a charcuterie board, a homely wood-fired pizza or one of their daily specials, you can enjoy a relaxing evening in a delightfully welcoming and warm ambience.
