Well-known for its meat counter, the farm shop prides itself on its wide selection. Whether you are looking for a thick cut of beef, a pound of sausages or a Christmas turkey, the team can guide you through what’s on offer and suggest the best option for you. And aside from the taste, what’s really encouraging for customers is that there is full traceability for each animal from birth to counter, with all of the shop’s meat and poultry sourced from local farms.
As well as meats, the farm shop has a fantastic range of local vegetables and fruits too, ever changing with the seasons. Bag yourself some leeks, carrots and squash for a wintery stew or pick up some salad for a healthy accompaniment to your meal. For a complete ensemble, the store also supplies eggs, jams and pickles, and has a deli overflowing with cheese, pâtés, olives, homemade pasties, quiches, scotch eggs, pies and much more.

If you’d like to, you can bundle up a pick-a-mix of treats and head back to your luxury home from home. Or, for a spontaneous approach, head straight out into the countryside for a picnic to end all picnics. If you simply can’t wait for either of those options, the Aune Valley Farm Shop has Valley View Café next door. Run by local couple Amy and Richard, the popular café serves a menu of homecooked dishes made up of ingredients from the farm shop and is a great introduction to the tastes and textures on offer.
