Autumn Adventures at Antony House & Gardens

Autumn Adventures at Antony House & Gardens

Immerse yourself in the autumnal period and explore nature’s kaleidoscope of changing hues at Antony House this October. Spooky season is upon us, we reckon it’s time for a spell of ghostly encounters and welly wandering in Antony’s crisp, leafy gardens. For family-friendly fun this autumn, why not occupy the little ones with the Halloween happenings at this National Trust gem? It’ll take the fright out of finding things to do during October half term!

Wrap up warm, don your wellies and a waterproof for some autumnal ambling through leafy canopies, with amber foliage underfoot. Catch glimpses of the resident wildlife, hidden amongst the rusty tones of golden warmth and let the fresh, crisp air of autumn revive your mind. Tawny leaves dust the grounds of Antony House, casting a seasonal spell over the hauntingly glorious gardens; relish a delicious crunch with every footstep. This half term you can be part of the shenanigans, with conker battles, welly wandering, den building and leaf wars taking place!

Find refuge from the autumn chill in Antony’s cosy tearoom for seasonal warmers and an indulgent hot chocolate. What’s better on a gloomy afternoon than rambling through nature’s splendour, followed by a deluxe drink? Warm up inside regal walls of the grand Antony House, learn about the property’s history and the family who walked its halls for over six hundred years. Step back in time and follow the footsteps of the estate’s predecessors. There’s nothing quite like exploring a grand house teeming with stately history; discover the antique features and rustic décor of this historic gem to be inspired!

Spooky shenanigans are taking place during the Halloween Pumpkin Hunt. Hidden around the gloomy gardens, you’ll find pesky pumpkins decorated by staff and volunteers. Part of a fun family-friendly challenge, you’ll notice that each of the pumpkins is marked with different shapes and letters – see if you can crack the pumpkin code together! For even more autumn magic, seek out the den within the house’s gardens and be rewarded with some very special instructions to create your very own wand. Welly walking, tree rubbing and autumnal photoshoots are also available. No booking is required for this event, but just be warned, nothing is quite as it seems in the gardens this month.
