Tucked away in the verdant green countryside of the Surrey Hills surrounded by stunning views and the North Downs is this beautifully restored home for six, perfect for families or a group of friends. Dog friendly, this stylish cottage with country chic interiors has three stunning bedrooms, a glorious garden and a wonderful open plan living area, making it the ideal bolt hole for celebrations or when you just want to spend time together.
Located in the pretty village of Shere (as seen in the film 'the Holiday'), The Coach House is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Surrey Hills, The Coach House is ideally situated for country walks, exploring pretty villages, visiting grand stately homes such as Polesden Lacey and admiring the natural beauty of RHS Wisley or spending the afternoon in a local country pub. And located just over an hour from London and the south coast, it's the perfect escape for short breaks too!
Special 'Just for Two' rate

Living and dining
The incredible open plan living, kitchen and dining area is the heart of the home and the perfect space to spend time together, whether you're a family or a group of friends.
Handcrafted in oak and hand painted in contrasting colours, the bespoke kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to rustle up feasts. There's a Smeg gas double oven (with microwave and pizza plate), gas hob, AEG fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and large central island for prepping food, whilst lots of space and a larder means there's plenty of room for storing all your food.
The dining area has seating for six and there's also a beautiful Welsh dresser which the owner has made from a reclaimed oak sideboard. French windows lead out onto the deck and into the garden, so on balmy days you can bring the outside in with the sounds of the birds and maybe even the neighbouring cows and sheep accompanying you whilst you eat.
The gorgeous, light-filled sitting area has two super-comfy Loaf sofas and a leather Chesterfield armchair nestled around a crackling wood burner, meaning its oh-so-snug in cooler months. Alternatively, the French windows can be thrown open during the summer to let in the flower-scented breeze as you relax in the cooling shade - just dreamy.
Sleeping
There are three gorgeous bedrooms to choose from.
The master en suite bedroom is on the first floor has uninterrupted, south facing views over the Surrey Hills from the expansive deck. To the west, a Juliette balcony faces towards the North Downs and is the perfect spot for mesmerising sunsets. With a vaulted ceiling, separate dressing room, black out curtains, neutral tones throughout and a super king-sized bed, you're guaranteed a blissful nights' sleep in this spacious, peaceful room.
In addition, there is a dreamy second bedroom on the first floor with a double sized bed, blackout blinds and beautiful views.
Finally, the third bedroom on the ground floor with huge French doors open on to your own private courtyard with blissful sunset views over the fields. Wake up and enjoy the surrounding views from the super king size bed.

Bathing
The master bedroom has a beautifully designed en suite shower room with rainforest shower and stone washbasin, whilst there is also a family bathroom on the first floor with bath, shower and loo. On the ground floor next to the bedroom there's another shower room with loo. Each comes with heated rail to keep towels beautifully warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
The south facing garden is just spectacular, and you'll not want to leave this little piece of paradise! There is a large wooden deck leading off the house, accessed through the three large French windows. Leading from the dining room, outside you'll find a fabulous bespoke wooden table and Weber gas barbecue with incredible views as you cook alfresco meals. Leading from the sitting room are two occasional chairs and a fire pit - made for watching the stars and roasting marshmallows. In addition, there's a large lawned area with raised beds with flowers and vegetables (these are maintained by the owner).
Parking
There is plenty of off road, private parking for three cars directly outside the house.
Babies and children
Babies and children are welcome at The Coach House. A travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request.
Dogs
One small, well behaved dog is welcome. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
WiFi
The Coach House has fast WiFi so if you need to stay in touch with the outside world you can.
In the Area
Whether you're staying for a week or a weekend, there's plenty to see and do should you wish to. Shere is a very pretty village and is blessed with some lovely places to eat, such as Hilly's Tea Shop or the Dabbling Duck (perfect for a spot of afternoon tea) or the William IV and The William Bray, great pubs all within stumbling distance! The Albury Organic Vineyard and Silent pool Gin distillery are a 10-minute stroll away over the fields. Tastings and tours can be booked at both. For places to visit, the Surrey Hills is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers plenty of walking opportunities right on your doorstep, covering most of the North Downs and Greensand Ridge. Notable places of interest include the beautiful RHS Garden Wisley (a must for horticulturists), many National Trust properties and gardens within a 10-mile radius and the iconic Box Hill which boasts stunning views. Winkworth Arboretum, owned by the National Trust, is beautiful for a stroll (especially in Autumn) whilst Guildford with its iconic cobbled high street and historic castle is great for shopping and restaurants.
