Living

There are two gorgeous sitting rooms to choose from, with interconnecting doors which can be opened if desired. The main sitting room offers views over the charming front garden towards the harbour, a three-seater sofa, wingback armchair and cocktail chairs, beautifully patinated wooden floors, a cosy open fire and gorgeous vintage furniture - the perfect spot to relax after a busy day exploring.

The second sitting room lies to the back of the house and also has a comfy three-seater sofa, armchair, cocktail chair, a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite box set, board games, books and a stunning antique rocking horse - this is a great room for kids wanting their own space, or for those seeking a moment of quietude.

Eating

The exquisite, characterful kitchen and dining room can be found on the ground floor and is the perfect blend of traditional and modern design. The interior designer owner has showcased the fantastic original features of this, the oldest part of the house, with the decorative Cornish Range, bread oven, exposed walls, original dresser and whitewashed walls. These contrast beautifully with the zinc-topped handmade Shaker kitchen. For budding chefs there's a Lacanche Range, dishwasher and all the other essentials needed to rustle up meals, including a Lavazza coffee machine. Mealtimes are a joy around the farmhouse kitchen table, and there's a door leading out to the courtyard, so you can let the soft sea breeze in on a summer's day.

In addition, there's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the basement, along with plenty of space to store surfboards and beach equipment.

Sleeping and bathing

There are three beautiful ensuite bedrooms to choose from.

On the first floor you'll find the master bedroom, complete with huge super king-sized bed, plush velvet sofa, wooden floors and Georgian painted panelling. Two windows offer glorious views over the harbour and Flushing beyond, whilst wardrobes offer plenty of storage and the Louis XIV gilt dressing table is just a dream. The original decorative fireplace is just lovely, whilst the huge ensuite boasts a vintage roll top bath and separate shower enclosure with Lefroy Brooks rain shower.

The second bedroom lies on the top floor and has a sumptuous king-sized bed, beautiful sea views, wooden floors, two occasional chairs, a chest of drawers and an en suite with double ended roll top bath and large separate shower with Lefroy Brooks rain shower.

Bedroom three has a king-sized zip and link bed, meaning it can be kept as a double or made into twins, perfect for children or friends staying together. This lovely, smaller room is just charming with views over the garden with a glimpse of the sea, plus wooden floors, original panelling and decorative fireplace. The ensuite comes complete with bath and handheld shower.

All the beds come swathed in luxurious linens, sumptuous bedding and cushions and throws. The en suites have heated rails to ensure towels are kept warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

This stunning town house enjoys two lovely gardens. To the front lies a secluded walled front garden, the perfect spot to catch the morning sun with a cup of coffee. Another larger walled garden can be found behind the house, accessed by a flight of granite steps from the courtyard set outside the kitchen. The tucked-away courtyard is the perfect spot for afternoon tea, where a prolific Wisteria rains petals in early summer - so romantic! There's also a heated outdoor shower - perfect for washing off the sea salt after your swim. The main garden has a sunny lawn surrounded by camellias, hydrangeas and a host of perennials, making it a pretty spot in which to relax. At the highest point of the garden there is a summer house with French doors that open out to make the most of the view over the garden, with the harbour beyond- a magical spot for a sunny breakfast or to read a book.
