3 Bedrooms (Sleeps 6 + cot)
With the narrow streets and fabulous shops of Fowey just a short stroll away, yet set high above the hustle and bustle, this retreat for six offers the best of both worlds. With reversed living to make the most of the glorious views, the living areas can be found upstairs whilst the three en suite bedrooms are nestled downstairs. With plenty to do and see in the area, from the lovely coves and villages of the south Cornish coast to the hustle and bustle of Padstow on the north, there’s plenty to see and do.

Living
The main light-filled living space makes the most of the stunning views with floor-to-ceiling glass bi-folding doors which leads onto a superb decking area. Vaulted ceilings create a light, airy feel and there’s plenty of seating to curl up on and catch up with a film, or just to natter together on.
Eating
Walk through the main living area and you’ll find the gorgeous kitchen and dining space. The state-of-the-art kitchen includes everything even the most professional of chefs might need, whilst the gorgeous white quartz worktops and super-sleek cabinets provide minimalist chic. For dining, there’s a great breakfast bar in front of the kitchen whilst a long, spacious dining table is perfect for long, leisurely meals together.
Sleeping
Stairs lead down to the three en suite bedrooms where you’ll find the comfiest of beds to fall into after a day’s exploring. The master bedroom has its own private patio which has fabulous river views – perfect to gaze at with an early morning tea or coffee in hand, as well as a television with full Sky package. The further two bedrooms are also fantastically light and airy with gorgeous river views, so nobody misses out! All three bedrooms have sumptuous bed linens and are simply decorated to promote a calm, blissful nights’ sleep.
Bathing
The master bedroom en suite has a large walk-in shower to wash away sandy toes, whilst the second en suite has a bath with shower over it (great for long soaks of an evening). The third en suite has a walk in shower whilst there’s a handy additional cloakroom upstairs.
Outside space
The Old Printworks definitely makes the most of its incredible views with four different decking areas! By the bi-folding doors in the living area, there’s a fantastic wooden deck that’s flooded with morning sunshine – perfect for waking up on and enjoying a spot of al fresco breakfast. The top deck has a slate-paved area and comes fully equipped with a huge Broil King gas barbeque, ideal for rustling up some sizzling delights (maybe some fresh seafood?). There’s a smaller top patio for evening times, complete with a wall-mounted heater for cooler evenings. What could be better than sitting wrapped in blankets watching the twinkling lights below, sipping on a hot chocolate (or perhaps something a little stronger!). There’s also the private patio off of the master bedroom, just in case you want some private me time.
Access
Please note that due to The Old Printworks' elevated position, there are 40 steep steps leading up to the property so may not be suitable for the elderly, infirm or those with limited mobility.
Parking
There’ll be no worries about parking your car as The Old Printworks comes complete with private garage with key entry electric shutter.
Babies and children
One babe-in-arms is most welcome at The Old Printworks. Please bring your own baby equipment with you.
Dogs
Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at The Old Printworks. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
This particularly gorgeous part of Cornwall is just brimming with things to see and do. With Fowey itself a fascinating place to explore with cute boutique shops, fab places to eat and lovely river views, there’s plenty on your doorstep. A trip on the River Fowey is a delight, with richly wooded banks all the way up to Lostwithiel, a lovely little town well worth exploring. Out and about, visit Charlestown for its unspoilt harbour (much used in the BBC’s Poldark), Polperro, a quintessentially pretty Cornish fishing village and Bodmin, the county town of Cornwall, famed for its jail. Other places of interest are Lanhydrock House, possibly Cornwall’s most magnificent house, Cardinham Woods for fab walks and cycling. Of course, the Eden Project is a must as well as the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
