Fowey is fabulous with a sandy beach, a mix of independent shops, top-notch restaurants and activities such as kayaking, sailing, boat hire or exploring the South West Coastal path.

Living

Trevail House offers plenty of space to relax. The sitting room lies next to the kitchen on the first floor and has a host of original features such as the lovely original fireplace.

Next door you'll find the snug or TV room with Loaf sofa, fluffy bean bags and huge television with Apple TV and full Sky TV film and sports package - perfect for catching up on that Netflix series you've heard about or for the kids to hide away in.

On the ground floor there's a handy study space for those who might need to catch up on some work, whilst the lovely garden room is an informal room with fabulous kitchen facilities and a sofa for those who wish to sit inside and watch the world go by on the river.

Eating

You'll find the kitchen on the first floor; complete with five-ring gas range cooker, Fisher & Paykel fridge/freezer, wine cooler, Nespresso machine, Dualit and KitchenAid equipment and top-quality kitchen and tableware, you'll be able to rustle up feasts like an expert. There's also a host of cookery books to inspire you, and with a plethora of fabulous shops on your doorstep to pick up local produce, it's just perfect.

The Neptune dining table, set in the main kitchen, perfectly seats twelve and looks out over the water and hills beyond, through floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open out on to the decked garden - perfect for letting the sea breeze drift through on hot summery days.

On the ground floor you'll find a garden kitchen - a great little space for whipping up light lunches, barbecues, cocktails and nibbles - complete with Fisher & Paykel fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and cooker. There's even a dumb waiter from the kitchen upstairs for handily transporting things between the two.

Sleeping & Bathing

There are four en suite bedrooms to choose from; on the second floor you'll find the master bedroom in shades of green with hints of teal, complete with a sumptuous king size bed with velvet throws, cushions, Apple TV and stunning river views to gaze at as you wake up in the mornings - bliss! It's en suite, complete with walk in shower and bath - which happens to be the original Bank Manager's bath!

Bedroom 2 has dusky pink hues and a lovely Loaf super-king bed, complete with velvet throws and cushions, views over the town, fabulously large wardrobe and en suite walk-in shower room.

Bedroom 3 has a zip and link bed which can be made up as a super-king double or as twin beds, in shades of navy blue it has an en suite walk-in shower room and on the first floor Bedroom 4 is a bunk room with en suite walk-in shower room and doors leading out onto the terrace.

Each bedroom has super-luxurious bedding to ensure a fabulous nights' sleep, whilst all the en suite rooms have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy. In addition, there's a washroom with walk in shower and WC on the ground floor, next to the garden room.

Outdoor space

Trevail House has a spectacular waterside area overlooking the River Fowey and out to sea. You have private access to the water via steps which lead from the deck. Relax on one of the sun loungers, keep toasty and warm around the patio heater on relaxing summer evenings or enjoy long lunches alfresco whilst gazing at the boats and yachts as they sail by, over to the rolling countryside beyond.

On the water

Trevail House boasts its own private access to the shoreline, so perfect if you have kayaks or you might like to try your hand at paddle boarding. If you prefer to be a land lubber, nothing beats dipping toes into the cool waters and maybe play pirates and dig for treasure when the tide is out.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Trevail House:

This was our second time in this property. The relaxation is tops in this accomodation with the amazing coastal walks and the abundant water sports available. You need a car to get there but you can keep it garaged as there’s plenty to do and excellent places to eat out in

An amazing house, fabulous for families plenty of space , something for everyone as so close to the shops and amazing restaurants, however wonderful space overlooking the harbour in the back. Best of both worlds. A true little gem in Fowey.

Trevail House is everything you could hope to enjoy whilst on holiday! Right in the middle of Fowey with easy access to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, cream teas, boat / paddle board hire, lovely shops and most importantly, ice cream! With easy access to a little beach at low tide means your dogs can go swimming right from the amazing deck at the back of the house. Would highly recommend this property, we certainly didn’t want to leave!

A wonderful stay at Trevail House, a beautiful home and the deck makes the most of the location! The interior and furnishings are as stunning as they look on the photos, the house is perfect for a fabulous and relaxing break from the hustle and bustle!

Really wonderful!

A very luxurious stay. We had lots of room to spread out and the house was full of everything we could ever need. There was even a kayak (which we didn't discover until it was too late). The house was so well appointed and had incredible views and facilities. A truly luxury home.

A fabulous location and a delightfully comfortable holiday house.

Another beautiful stay at Trevail House. Comfortable to live in for our holiday, plenty of space, incredible views and unparalleled access to the town centre right on your doorstep. So nice not to have to use the car for 2 weeks.

Gorgeously appointed and very comfortable property in one of Cornwall's prettiest villages. Fantastic location on the water - with fabulous restaurants and walks on your doorstep.

A great place to stay, beautiful house, amazing views and location - felt like a really special place. Beautifully decorated and had everything we could possibly need.

We had a really lovely time. The house was beautiful, the location was perfect with amazing views and access to an excellent range of shops on the high street to the front.

Amazing location and a fantastic, stylish and spacious property.

It’s a great combination of relaxation and being in the thick of it Just perfect

Exquisite waterside haven from London, ideal for 3 couples and a couple of children/ dogs. You really don't need to leave the house...maybe fall into Sams for a delicious sea food dinner and maybe wander over the road to bakery baking fresh bread and croissants every day. We loved it! We will be back!
