Sleeping and bathing

You'll find four exquisite bedrooms to choose from at Melynsy.

Discover the luxurious first bedroom on the ground floor, radiant with golden hues and oak feature panelling. Enveloped in soft linens, a super-king zip-and-link offers flexible sleeping options, whilst a stylish, jet-black built-in wardrobe offers a dressing table with a stool.

Adjacent is the downstairs shower room, adorned in carbon confetti terrazzo tiling with gilded accents. There is a spacious walk-in shower along with a heated rail.

Upstairs, is the gorgeous second bedroom, promising a symphony of jewel tones with powder-pink inflections. Transporting you to a realm of romance with an Oriental-inspired Chinoserie feature wall, a king-sized bed rests centre whist a charming window seat is the cosiest of morning coffee spots. You'll also find two bedside tables, a dressing table, and a wardrobe with hanging space and drawers.

Equally enchanting with stunning teal tones, botanical wallpaper and an original Victorian feature fireplace is the third bedroom, complete with a king-sized zip-and-link bed, two bedside tables, a window seat, and a cupboard with plenty of hanging space.

Next door resides the captivating family bathroom, embellished with luxe dark marble and intricate, gold foil mermaid-inspired feature tiles. For opulent self-care moments, a contemporary freestanding bathtub awaits, along with a separate walk-in shower and heated rail.

Earthy tones reign in the sumptuous master bedroom, with vaulted wood beams and woodland-esque wallpaper. Looking out to the tangled treetops and beyond, this breath-taking boudoir promises a super-king, zip-and-link bed which can be made into a twin, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. Echoing the décor present in the family bathroom is the adjoining ensuite, where you'll find a walk-in rainfall shower.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Melynsy:

As two emergency services workers working in high stress environments this property and location was the perfect tonic, to unwind, refresh and return to work completely reset.

The serene environment, tree bathing in the surrounding gardens, walks and wildlife added a priceless quality. The property is a dream and on this occasion supported us to recover ……. to continue supporting the public at their time of need. So thank you to the owners for sharing their home.

loved the property a great location for doing nothing or going nowhere just relaxing

Melynsy is in an ideal spot for a luxury holiday. Private and peaceful yet close to beaches & visitor attractions. It is beautifully designed & well equipped. We booked Melynsy for a family holiday and would highly recommend it.

Just delightful and relaxing - close enough to everything we needed whilst being remote and quiet.

It was perfect, great location, good size. Well equipped.

Idyllic location and fabulous property; great design and super comfortable. Kitchen and living room particularly spacious and airy, plus a cosy snug for quieter moments to hide away and read. Perfect, thank you.

A stunning and enchanting retreat that we instantly fell in love with. Homely, but decadent. A truly magical place to totally escape reality. Thank you.

Wonderful cottage, with absolutely everything you need for a super stay. Beautiful well established garden, and beautifully decorated house, with each room designed to impress. It’s actually more spectacular than the photos. Even robes provided. The kitchen is really super with everything you need to cook a banquet meal, should you want to. A lovely hot tub just outside the kitchen area, and a patio for sitting in the sun or eating outside as well. Nicest place I’ve stayed for many years.
