Follow the path uphill between flower-bedecked cottages and you'll find the glorious Horizon, perfectly perched above the hustle and bustle of everyday village life. Slip your shoes off by the door and you enter a world of calm where this incredible home awaits you. In sea-evoking shades of blues and whites and with an industrial-come-beach chic design, this is a gorgeous retreat where even the smallest detail has been considered. It's the jaw-dropping view which really is the cherry on the sundae though; being perched so high, you have possibly the best view - overlooking the higgledy-piggledy rooftops, the harbour and out to sea - with St Michael's Mount in the distance. Hello holiday heaven.

Living
With an upside-down approach to make the most of the views, the living space is upstairs. Two sofas and two swivel chairs are ideally positioned in front of the astonishing vista, where floor-to-ceiling windows can be opened to let the salty sea breeze in whilst you lounge. In cooler months, keep the window closed, wrap yourself in one of the super-soft throws and light the huge wood burning stove and watch the stormy waves and wheeling seagulls or pop on the Sony 4K HD Smart TV WIFI enabled with free Netflix and all other streaming services and enjoy a good movie - with hot chocolate in hand, or something a little stronger.
Eating
The bespoke kitchen lies to the back of the house. With gorgeously rich copper work tops, dark blue cupboards and whitewashed brick walls, this is a super-stylish kitchen that even Nigella would be proud to use. However this isn't a kitchen that has style over substance - it's filled to the brim with everything you might need to cook your favourite dishes whilst all the appliances are neatly integrated. There's even an American style fridge-freezer with chilled water and ice maker, coffee machine (for those mornings when only caffeine will do) and a host of vintage kitchen equipment on display. We particularly love the cupboard with built in spice rack and fab lighting. The dining table - sturdily wooden - lies next to the kitchen and easily seats up to ten people.
Sleeping
Three sumptuous bedrooms await - two downstairs and one upstairs. The master bedroom is downstairs to the front of the house to make the most of the gorgeous views. French shutters provide privacy, adding a French colonial feel to the room whilst the king sized bed, bedecked in swathes of turquoise, green and white, perfectly offset the rich teal headboard. Next door is a super-cute, cosy room with garden views which can be either a double or twin - we love the unusual knitted wool mural on the wall! Upstairs, there's a further en-suite double room tucked away to the back, complete with a unique map mural, brilliant built in storage and garden views.
Bathing
The downstairs shower room has a real New York loft feel to it with exposed brick-effect walls and industrial style fittings and comes complete with a walk in shower (with bespoke glass divider). Upstairs, the en suite also has a walk-in shower with incredible tiling.
Outside space
Unusual for Mousehole, Horizon comes with a spacious, enclosed tiered garden and a hot tub. Copper lights lead you up the cobbled path to a gorgeous terrace area with the fabulous hot tub, bags of seating for sundowners and BBQ. Perfect for relaxing in and whiling away an afternoon, it's even better at night where you can watch the moon rise over the sea and the twinkling lights of the village, boats and stars above. Handily, close to the house there's an outdoor hose-down area - perfect for washing down sandy wetsuits or muddy dogs after a long walk.
Parking
The two quayside car parks are just a few minutes' walk away, there is a larger car park at the entrance to the village and there is free parking on the approach to the village too.
