This lovely converted barn is set in 75 acres of rolling countryside and lies very close to Padstow, the foodie centre of Cornwall. The ethos of this retreat is comfort and style, and is great whether you want to hunker down or get out and about; it also benefits from a patio which sees a great deal of sun and a stunning heated indoor swimming pool, steam room, gym and deck overlooking the countryside. This is also one of our dog-friendly retreats, and with lots of fantastic walks on your doorstep you'll be spoilt for choice for where to head to first.

There's a large flat-screen TV/DVD (complete with Sky package for when you want a night in) and a lovely painting by local artist Jethro Jackson which dominates the far wall. With a stunning Cornish slate floor and exposed beams, this retreat is set over two levels; French windows open out to the communal courtyard so that on warmer days you can drift in and out as much as you want.
Eating
