2 Bedrooms (Sleeps 4 + cot)
Tucked away on iconic Stippy Stappy, a terrace of Victorian cottages that feature in all seven 'Poldark' books, this is a stunning dog-friendly retreat for couples and families alike set in a UNESCO World Heritage coastline setting. Walk through the door and you'll step into a timeless home stay complete with all its original features but with all the modern, luxurious touches that make it a boutique retreat. Original slate flooring (heated, of course!), a wood burning stove and cute kitchen all add to the cottagey feel, whilst the original wooden stairs lead to two gorgeous bedrooms - think bed knobs and broomsticks - and two fabulous bathrooms.
Outside, it's a leisurely walk down to Trevaunance Cove, a wonderful sandy beach where it's dog friendly all year, and a short walk into the heart of St Agnes - complete with artisanal shops, great pubs and excellent restaurants.
Special 'Just for Two' rate
A special 'Just for Two' rate applies outside of school holidays, peak weeks, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year. At Seven Stippy Stappy the discount is 20%. This is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.

Living
A gorgeous, airy room with beams, thick stone walls and fantastic artwork, this lovely spot is super-cosy in winter with underfloor heating and a delightful wood burning stove. In summer months, the cool original slate floor and simple whitewashed walls provide a haven from the heat. The hefty, sumptuous sofa is just perfect for cuddling up on with a glass in hand, watching the embers of the fire burn. The pretty south-facing window seat is perfect for cat-napping in the sunshine, or reading a book on, a la Jane Austen. For something a little more up to date, there's a Roberts DAB radio with Bluetooth and a television for those times when only a film night will do.
Eating
The super-cute country style kitchen and dining area lies to the back of the house. We adore the lovely Farrow & Ball 'Stiffkey' blue cabinets, butler sink and vintage finishing touches such as the antique store cabinet. But don't be fooled - there's every modern convenience you'll need to rustle up tasty meals - maybe visiting the fabulous butchers, traditional greengrocers and fishmonger in the village first to buy super-fresh goodies. Additionally, there's a Nespresso maker for coffee lovers, underfloor heating to keep tootsies warm and a fabulous pine-scrubbed dining table, pew bench and Eames style chairs for long, lazy lunches. French doors open into the idyllic garden and lets the fresh sea breeze waft through.
Sleeping
Climb the original wooden stairs and you'll find two peaceful and luxurious bedrooms. The master en suite bedroom at the far end has a scrumptious king size Loaf bed, huge antique wardrobe (it's not hard to imagine Narnia lurks behind the doors) whilst the second bedroom has a lovely snug double, complete with brass bed knobs plus an antique walnut dresser. Both beds are swathed in sumptuous goose-down bedding (hypoallergenic available on request) and luxurious 500-count Egyptian cotton linens, guaranteeing you a blissful nights' sleep.
Bathing
The en suite bathroom has a stunning, contemporary bathtub for two - perfect for long soaks after a day's exploring where you can gaze out of the window over the glorious gardens. The second is a wet room, complete with drench-head shower, made to wake you up in the morning after a long lazy lie in.
Outdoor space
French doors lead from the kitchen out to the paved courtyard where you'll find a dining area with a Weber gas BBQ. Follow the steps up and you'll find sunny spots to sit, surrounded by lush historic woodland. There are places to sit for a lazy summer's breakfast or evening glass of wine, a spot of sunbathing or simply for chilling out and enjoying the holiday vibe. The front south-facing garden is a wonderful place for an evening sundowner or two, with a glass of well-earned fizz in hand and the sound of birdsong in your ears. The front and rear landscaped gardens are well-stocked with both mature shrubs and climbers, and flowering summer perennials.
Utility Room
There is access from the courtyard to a small utility room with a washing machine/drier and space to hang wetsuits or store boogie boards.
Parking
There are a few free parking spaces on the right at the top of Stippy Stappy (Stippy Stappy lane is on the left just after you have passed the church on the right and start to head downhill). Otherwise there is space to pull in, drop your cases down to the cottage and then head to the Library car park on Trelawny Road - about a five-minute walk away - which is a pay and display car park.
WiFi
Seven Stippy Stappy has super-fast fibre broadband so if you need to stay in contact with the outside world you can.
Dogs
One well-behaved dog is very welcome at Seven Stippy Stappy. St Agnes is a fabulously dog-friendly village and the beach is dog friendly all year (they must be kept on leads during the summer months). Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
St Agnes is a wonderful spot to stay. With a laid-back, surfy vibe and a host of fabulous places to eat and drink, plus Trevaunace Cove, a gorgeous sandy beach, all close by, there's no need to get in a car if you don't want to. For drinkies, head to The Tap House or The Driftwood Spars, whilst Schooners, Genki, Taste and The Cornish Pizza Company serve incredibly tasty food. Up the road is the fantastic Miner's Arms in Mithian - well worth a visit.
If you like to cook at home, there's two butchers, a fishmonger, a greengrocer and a deli or two, plus the wonderful Times-featured St Agnes Bakery only a short walk from the cottage.
A walk from St Agnes to Chapel Porth is a must, following the South West Coastal Path passing Wheal Coates (which features in BBC's Poldark) on the way.
Pop in the car and head west for St Ives, Sennen and Land's End. Head east for the wild beaches of Holywell bay and Crantock, or head to the south coast for Falmouth, Truro and the fabulous Roseland Peninsula.
