Living

Making a dream of life's moments, Sonnet's beautifully curated living spaces feature a stunning open-plan design adorned with elegant décor. Promising endless calm with relaxing hues and valley views, the lounge is just made for unwinding in style. Settle into an agenda of blissful relaxation from the natural Cotswolds Company sofa or linen occasional chair, topped with green William Morris cushions and paired with a pinstripe Nkuku ottoman. On balmy days, welcome soft breezes through the patio door, or savour sumptuous serenity in the cooler months with the warmth of the wood burning stove. For evening entertainment, cosy up with a favourite book or a film on the Smart TV.

Eating and dining

Adjoining the beautiful lounge, the kitchen and dining space beckon for delicious moments over lovingly prepared feasts. Infusing traditional style with pared-back Scandi aesthetics, the kitchen features handcrafted, evergreen cabinetry harmonised with antique brass details and a quartz worktop. A Lofra Dolce Vita black and brass induction oven tempts for culinary creativity, accompanied by a range of modern conveniences. Adorning the walls are William Morris artworks and open shelves featuring copper and earthenware accoutrements.

A valley-view windowseat encourages slow mornings with roasted blends from the Nespresso coffee machine. Meanwhile for romantic repasts, an antique farmhouse table is embraced by two wood dining chairs and illuminated by antique brass lights.

Sleeping and bathing

Residing in a private nook adjoining the open-plan living area, the bedroom exudes comfort and charm. Wooden panelling with Jim Lawrence antique fluted wall lights frames a king size bed, complemented with Loaf bedside tables and terracotta lamps. Savour soothing slumbers cocooned by the highest quality linens, cloud-soft cushions and throws, and luxuriate in lingering lie-ins with mesmeric views overlooking uninterrupted countryside. For storing belongings, you'll find a chest of drawers from the Cotswold Company, accompanied by a terracotta lamp from Kiln Home and an antique brass mirror.

For pure comfort, uncover a beautiful bathroom decorated with reclaimed tiles from Bert & May. Promising the dreamiest soaks is a large, freestanding copper bath in shades of verdigris green, complete with an overhead shower. A marble and oak vanity unit from Neptune adds timeless character, and underfloor heating ensures the cosiest moments.

Outdoor space

The outdoor space of Sonnet is a picture of pastoral perfection. For alfresco brunches and sun-kissed soirees, an outdoor table and chairs are hugged by two cushion-topped seats and offers spellbinding views over silky fields. An antique bench proposes moments of mindfulness, and a barbecue tempts for flame-grilled feasts. For romantic evening moments, a dreamy freestanding bath resides on the terrace for soothing soaks under starlit skies.

Curating a rural escape of dreams, Sonnet resides within a heavenly location on the fringes of Bodmin Moor. Set between the wildly romantic north coast and sheltered, tropical realms of South Cornwall, it promises endless inspiration for days of adventure. Embark on unforgettable forays and uncover local gems, donning boots to explore the plethora of walking trails that wend past dramatic moorland and ancient forest. Nearby, Siblyback Lake is especially spellbinding for soulful sojourns, dining alfresco at Olive Café and strolling along tranquil shores. Meanwhile, the forested idylls of Cardinham Woods and Golitha Falls are within easy reach and beckon for peaceful pursuits in nature. Follow tree-lined trails and, when you're ready to return, head to The London Inn in St Neot for cosy corners and country pub cuisine.

For those seeking coastal inspiration, both the north and south coasts of Cornwall await with an array of things to see and do. To the north, the seaside town of Port Isaac tempts with picture-perfect scenery and two of the county's adored Michelin Star restaurants: Outlaw's New Road and Fish Kitchen. Heading south, ocean lovers and culinary connoisseurs can find a collection of seaside havens where harbours, beaches and coves feature sheltered shores and waterfront bistros. Particularly appetising are The Sardine Factory and The Old Sail Loft in Looe, and Sam's on the Beach in Polkerris. Meanwhile, for the finest local fare to take back to your retreat, venture to The Penhale Pantry in Dobwall near Liskeard or Lifton Farm Shop over the Devonshire border.
