Treglasta Manor is a stunning traditional farmhouse with sumptuous modern touches. Surrounded by flowing fields, it sits within easy reach of both the salt-kissed Cornish coast and the rugged, heather-tufted uplands of Bodmin Moor. A sanctuary throughout the year, it promises elegantly designed, carefully furnished rooms that harmonise original period features with contemporary comforts. With four ensuite bedrooms, a large living area and fabulous kitchen, it's just perfect for getaways with friends and family. And, with the best of indoor and outdoor living, its private gardens afford far-reaching views and boast an irresistible outdoor hot tub for those atmospheric dips under open skies. A total haven, our divine retreat is quite simply made for magic moments shared in a dreamy Cornish escape.
Living
With an inviting dual-aspect lounge, the living area offers plenty of space for relaxing. A homely space, an open snug with a burnt orange Loaf sofa and a Tikamoon desk sets the scene for peaceful repose. Brimming with period features, it pays homage to the building's roots with an original water trough and stunning exposed beams, softened with natural light and oh-so-cosy furnishings including plump Oka cushions. Down two steps, the snug flows into an adjoining lounge area, where a Charnwood wood burning stove radiates soul-soothing warmth in the cooler months. Creating beautiful symmetry, original stone walls and forest green tones run throughout both spaces, gorgeously balanced with wood floors and Corston antique bronze-finish details. For total comfort, the lounge area comes complete with two sofas and an armchair, and for entertainment, stars a HD 65" Frame Smart TV with surround sound bar. Illuminated by gentle, statement lighting and garden-view windows, this delightful space appeals for laidback fireside moments together.
Eating and dining
A real centrepiece, the fantastic kitchen is a masterclass in elegance and style and has everything you need for feasts at home. Adjoined by a dining area, it features flagstone floors, exposed beams and an original stone fireplace, all nodding to the residence's historic roots. Pretty-as-a-picture, the seafoam-blue walls hint at the retreat's coastal reaches, while the off-white hues and wood tones add freshness and warmth throughout. For leisurely breakfasts, gather around the stylish kitchen island with quartz worktop and take a pew on one of the trio of comfortable oak stools. Or, for aromatic evening meals, take a seat at the family-sized dining table with space for all eight. Keeping it extra cosy while you gather and dine is an Everhot dusky blue electric stove, set in the showstopping kitchen hearth. Turn on the DAB radio to set the soundtrack and savour magical repasts in this Cornish idyll.
Sleeping and bathing
There are four equally enchanting bedroom spaces to choose from at Treglasta Manor.
Beautiful in blue, the magnificent master bedroom is dressed in gorgeous shades of slate. With depth and eye-catching textures, it creates a blissful sanctuary in which to retreat and savour languid mornings or early evenings gazing over countryside views. Making it all the more irresistible are a super king-size bed, built-in wardrobes and an ensuite bathroom with his-and-hers sinks, a deep bath and large rainfall shower.
A heavenly space for two, the second bedroom has twin single beds adorned in downy duvets and super-soft throws. Promising the same handsome stone walls which feature throughout our period homestay, this cottage-core dream inspires only the cosiest of moments. Completing the picture are two bedside tables with marble tops, a chest of drawers and a stunning ensuite with herringbone tiling, balanced with bright white panelling.
Soft sage and taupe tones create a soothing palate in bedroom three, complete with a king-size bed. Harmoniously blending with the room's rustic inflections and sliding ensuite door, the bedroom's textured rug and sumptuous soft furnishings exude cosiness. Take breakfast in bed or curl up on the window seat with a book and enjoy the tranquillity. This bedroom is complemented by an ensuite shower room where white tiles and black details create tasteful contrast and contemporary style.
Bedroom four has two single beds which may be turned into a king if required. Decorated with burnt orange cushions and throws for warmth and benefiting from a chest of drawers, bedside table and hanging space for clothes, it beckons for pure relaxation. Completing this space is a cute window seat set within a period alcove window, as well as a lovely ensuite with attractive turquoise tiles for a splash of coastal charm.
For total ease, there is an additional shower room in the boot room on the ground floor for use before and after hot tub dips.
There are five wonderful bathrooms at Treglasta Manor, including four ensuites and the downstairs shower room. All ensuites come with toe-warming underfloor heating.
Outside space
Outside, Treglasta Manor opens onto a large garden with uninterrupted countryside views. Overlooking rolling fields and sunken valleys lined with leafy hedgerows, it paints a picture of bucolic perfection in which to escape the everyday. Savour meals outside on sunny days around the incredible granite table on the south-facing lawn. Seating up to eight and served by a BBQ, all the family can look forward to flame-grilled goodness. For sheer luxuriation, a sheltered outdoor hot tub sets the scene for bubble-topped soaks under starry skies.
