Once a millhouse, Fentafriddle has been lovingly converted into a lavish holiday homestay - perfect for families or larger groups looking for complete luxury & panoramic coastal views.
"Fentafriddle is wonderful - just the most luxurious but comfortable house in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK." Tiffanie Darke, Editor, Style, Sunday Times.
The house boasts two living spaces; the Roundhouse and the hallway. The Roundhouse (which once housed the donkey who drove the mill) retains much of its traditional character with the oak beams and flooring, but most definitely plays second fiddle to the floor-to-ceiling windows and those unbelievable views of the North Cornish coast. You may even glimpse one of the owner's donkeys in a nearby field but that's as close as they get to the Roundhouse these days. Oversized linen sofas, antique furniture and leather chairs are a great place to unwind. There is a built in surround sound theatre system, a Smart television plus Netflix and Sky package, Blu-ray player and Sonos wireless music system. The attention to detail in this property is exemplary. The French doors from the Roundhouse lead out to a private terrace with surround Cornish stone hedges (walls), a floodlight grassed area perfect for alfresco drinks or dining. The Roundhouse leads into the second living space, an open-plan room joining the kitchen to the Roundhouse in the middle of the property. It features a large Scan wood burning stove and sofa. There is a separate Smart television and DVD with Netflix and Sky Freeview (just in case of family viewing disagreements) and there is a desk suitable for laptop use. The whole property is fully Wi-Fi ready so you can keep in touch with the outside world if you need to.
A large farmhouse style kitchen with granite work surfaces, hand crafted oak units, a butler sink, dishwasher and all the mod-con appliances and more - a Nespresso coffee machine (with the coffee assortment waiting) and a breakfast bar built into the central island unit. French doors lead out to a the lawned terrace so perfectly suited for eating outdoors - however you can enjoy the views from the dining table without having to move an inch if it's a bit chilly for alfresco dining. The attention to detail is evident from the Emma Bridgewater and T&G Green crockery housed on the antique shelves to the original artwork on the walls, there are fully equipped kitchens and then there is Fentafriddle's kitchen. A separate utility area is next to the kitchen where there is a washing machine and tumble dryer and extra boot room space.
Enjoy restful nights and peaceful surroundings in Fentafriddle's four en-suite bedrooms; plush and stylish, each room features super king-sized beds with French Toile de jouy linen.

All of the bedrooms are en-suite with either a bathroom or a wetroom. The master bedroom has a roll-top bath in the bedroom as well as a separate shower room. The double room on the ground floor has a wet room with wide access for guests who may have limited mobility.
Fentafriddle has two terraces, a wraparound wooden decked area surrounding the Roundhouse living space as well as a separate terrace and lawned area with a table and chairs to seat eight more than comfortably. A gas fired barbecue and floodlights make the outside area as perfect and impressive for al fresco evening entreating as the interior!
