The second bedroom has a pretty king size bed with bright Scandinavian furniture and great country views too.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Fernleigh Cottage:

Comfortable, welcoming,a wonderful base to explore the Dorset countryside

Lovely cottage in a great setting. The small torches were a nice touch as the village has not street lights making the walk to the local pub a challenge without them.

The cottage is beautiful, light, warm and fully equipped with everything you need. The welcome basket is amazing! and such a generous and thoughtful touch. Having everything you need as soon as you arrive is perfect and really makes a long weekend special. Especially having a supply of firewood, kindling and matches all ready to go, such a treat. We had no need to go to any shops! perfect! Thank you for a wonderful weekend stay.

We stayed at Fernleigh Cottage when the weather was atrocious but our holiday was great because the cottage was cosy and warm. The underfloor heating and log burner were perfect. Loved the decor in the cottage and the comfort from the bedding was amazing. We didn’t want for anything. The extra gifts were a nice surprise and appreciated.

Beautiful, clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable cottage perfect for exploring the coastline and more. We've never been away in November before but would not hesitate to go again at this time of year, particularly as the weather was gorgeous!

What a lovely, cosy cottage. The bed was super comfortable and we had everything we needed. The village is very pretty with a nice pub and lovely beaches within a very short drive. Fabulous!

A lovely cottage in a very peaceful location.

A beautifully tasteful cottage with only the best of everything. The fresh flowers and the welcome hamper were a real treat.

Lovely cottage in the prettiest village, we loved our stay!

Excellent relaxing break look forward to going back thanks

The cottage provides a very relaxing location for travel around Dorset.

A perfect cottage for a short break to celebrate my husbands birthday! Extremely comfortable bed, cosy sitting room with great log burner. Well equipped kitchen and a very generous welcome basket with a bottle of very local wine!

I loved the cottage the views from upstairs where wonderful it was set in the middle of a very pretty village but I would say that as I was brought up in that village many years ago but it’s still lovely. A very pretty church and good pub. In all a great stay .

A perfect cottage with a beautiful interior and comfy beds! The welcome hamper is very generous, particularly the home made cake. The flower arrangements also added a special touch. The cottage is in a quiet peaceful village but close to the beach and local amenities. We would love to visit again and highly recommend it!

Beautiful setting and Charmouth fossil beach a short drive away and the beach at Burton Bradstock just a 30 minute cycle both lovely. Definitely recommend you take a food supplies with you as no local shops. Unless you drive into Bridport 20 mins down the road. There is a farm shop for a few basics with is nice fresh produce and bread available in the morning, about 10 mins down the road aswell.

A beautiful cottage - comfortable, very clean and clearly very well maintained. Highly recommended.

Bed mattress & linen unimprovable - superb for us

Stylish and comfortable cottage well-situated for enjoying the outdoors - perfect for a late Autumn week's stay for two. Very comfortable bed.

Just perfect. After a tough two years was the perfect cottage to relax and unwind. Thank you

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The property was stunning inside and every comfort had been thought of. Delicious cake and hamper on arrival definitely set our stay off on a high. Lovely village with a very friendly pub just 10 mins walk away. Location was perfect for exploring the area.

Perfect in every way . We were surrounded by gorgeous things and although never met the owner felt very welcomed to live in this gorgeous cottage. Totally love the bedrooms and the white wooden flooring was so relaxing . All the items of furniture were delightful to look at. The bed and bedding were so comfortable beautiful linen extremely comfortable. The owner thought of everything we visited the White Inn Pub just minutes away and used the torches provided on the walk back it’s gets very dark and with no light pollution the sky was always full of stars which I haven’t experience since childhood. To sum our stay up I would say magical.

This charming cottage exceeded our already high expectations for cleanliness , functionality and decor. So much so my wife and I booked another cottage through Boutique Retreats as soon as we got home from our stay. Thank you Boutique Retreats for giving us a perfect base for our holidays.
