Sleeping and bathing
There are five stunning bedrooms to choose from, each beautifully decorated.
The master bedroom has a gorgeous French-inspired super king bed, huge bay window with glorious distant sea views, a table and chairs - perfect for morning coffee - and an en suite shower room with underfloor heating plus access to the sun-flooded balcony.
The second bedroom has distant sea and countryside views and has a king size bed, en suite shower room with underfloor heating.
The third bedroom has a zip-and-link bed, meaning it can be made up as either twin beds or a super king-sized bed. It has peaceful countryside views and has use of the jack-and-jill shower room and underfloor heating (or is an en suite if fourth bedroom isn't used). This links into the fourth bedroom which is a gorgeous single bedroom with intricately detailed wooden bed, blissful countryside views and use of the jack-and-jill shower room.
Bedroom five is also a super king-sized zip-and-link bed, with courtyard and field views, television and an en suite bathroom with gorgeous freestanding bath and separate walk-in shower, plus underfloor heating.
All the beds are swathed in the finest feather duvets and pillows, linens, throws and pillows. The en suites are thoughtfully stocked with luscious Noble Isle products and have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
As much a space for entertaining as inside, here you'll find as mentioned before an al fresco, covered dining area for ten with a teak table and chairs, plus a gas barbeque. To the front leading from the kitchen is a patio area with a breakfast table set for four, surrounded by herbs and roses. Beyond this there's an expansive lawn which is perfect for children to play and dogs to roam plus loungers, a bench and a fire pit - perfect for roasting marshmallows or making s'mores under a starry sky. Surrounded by fields (with the occasional sheep) and with distant sea views, this is a peaceful, blissful setting. With Chalklands being in an Area Of Natural Beauty the property is surrounded by fields and from time to time the arable farm will carry out work in these fields, and pylons will be visable on one side of the property.

In the Area
Nestled in the Dorset countryside in an AONB right by the Jurassic coast, Chalklands is just perfect for exploring this beautiful part of England. From here, it's a short drive to Weymouth, where time exploring the West Dorset Heritage Coast of Chesil Beach and Portland Bill is a must. Move up the coast and explore the ancient, pretty villages such as Abbotsbury with its famous church or Cerne Abbas with its giant chalk figure. Head inland and the beautiful city of Dorchester awaits, whilst Lyme Regis is a lovely drive up the coast. Hive Beach, managed by the National Trust, is a large, less busy beach and a must for time by the sea. Head east beyond Weymouth and Lulworth Cove is a must for stunning sea views. Eating out around here is simply divine, with a real emphasis on seafood, whilst ancient pubs and tea rooms offer plenty to whet your whistle.
