With flexible sleeping arrangements, this is a perfect getaway whether you're a family, friends or a couple seeking a little more space, and with baby equipment available and a dog welcomed, no one is left out!
Set just a mile from the pretty market town of Chipping Campden, Shepherds Cottage is wonderfully located to explore the best of the Cotswolds, whether its exploring National Trust treasures such as Hidcote Manor, woodland walks at Batsford Arboretum or discovering pretty towns and villages such as Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway and Bourton-on-the-Water.
Living
The beautiful sitting room is the perfect space to retire to at the end of a day's exploring, with stunning oak floorboards, large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, sumptuous sofa and two armchairs. During winter months, curl up in front of the flickering fire, whilst in warmer weather open the French doors that lead out onto the Cotswolds stone patio and secluded garden. For entertainment, there's a Smart TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix, whilst a smart speaker is available to play your favourite tunes and create a playlist to your holiday.
Eating
Cooking is a dream in the wonderful country kitchen, with pristine white quartz worktops, Belfast sink, and dove grey cupboards housing everything you could possibly need to rustle up meals. With a stunning Everhot electric range oven, there's also a dishwasher, fridge and freezer so you're all set. In addition, there's a beautiful stone floor and lovely beamed ceiling.
For dining, the farmhouse kitchen table easily seats four people.
Sleeping
Take the gorgeous oak staircase up to a galleried landing where you'll discover two delightful bedrooms to choose from.
The king size bedroom has a gorgeous vaulted and beamed ceiling, making the room oh-so light and airy, whilst the mullion window is simply stunning. The second bedroom has a delightful super king-sized zip and link bed meaning it can also be made into twin beds for flexible sleeping arrangements as well as a vaulted ceiling and a super pretty window seat.
Both beds come swathed in 500 thread count luxurious cotton bedding, cloud-soft anti-allergy duvets and pillows and sumptuous cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep.
Bathing
There's a delightful beamed and vaulted shower room with walk in shower and a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
Step through the French doors in the sitting room out to the garden, where you'll discover a gorgeously serene and secluded sunny terraced garden with box hedging, brick pathways and beautiful roses, surrounded by Cotswold stone walls - the perfect spot to relax and get away from it all! There are two lovely spaces for dining, a very comfortable sofa area for early morning coffee and breakfast al-fresco, or sundowners at the end of a busy day out exploring. As well as teak garden furniture for more formal dining.
Parking
There is private parking for one car at the front of the cottage. A second car can be parked in the car park of the nearby pub.
Babies
Babies are most welcome at Shepherd's Cottage. A travel cot, mattress and mattress protector are available on request.
Dogs
Shepherd's Cottage welcomes one well-behaved dog. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
Perfectly positioned to make the most of the Cotswolds, there's plenty to see and do should you be able to tear yourself away from the comfort of Shepherd's Cottage, For those in pursuit of a cosy pub atmosphere, amble through rolling country fields for just over a mile and uncover the historic Eight Bells Inn , set in the heart of Chipping Campden, where you can discover an array of independent shops, deli's and restaurants.
Of course, being in the Cotswolds there are lots of lovely walks on your doorstep (including the Cotswold Way and Dover's Hill), so make sure to pack your walking boots, whilst there are a host of places to visit too, from beautiful Hidcote Manor, the arts and crafts garden located at Chipping Campden, fascinating Snowshill Manor, verdant Batsford Arboretum and of course Daylesford Organic Farm with its restaurant, shop, spa, cookery school and annual events.
If you have little ones with you, make sure to visit the Cotswold Farm Park, whilst Broadway Tower offers majestic views over the countryside. If time allows a visit to Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, home to the last wife of Henry VIII, is a must.
