Boutique Cottages in Chipping Campden

Chipping Campden is a delightfully ancient wool town, made famous for being the centre of the Arts and Crafts movement. Arguably one of the prettiest in the Cotswolds, it’s curved main street is lined with historic houses and was at one time one of the most important of the medieval wool towns in Europe.

Today, the town is chock-full of stunning buildings to gaze at, from the Market Hall and Alms Houses to impressive St James church, one of the best and most impressive of England’s ‘Wool Churches’.

With important links to the Arts and Crafts movement, the Guild of Handicrafts was set up in 1902 and today there’s a small museum in the workshop of its founder which is well worth a visit.

Chipping Campden is also the start of ‘The Cotswold Way’, a trail of 102 miles that runs all the way to Bath. A must for walkers, this is a wonderful hiking (or running) route, although you might not want to do the whole thing!

This lovely town has a plethora of inns, tea rooms and restaurants to keep you fed and watered, whilst there’s some lovely independent shops to potter about in during your stay at one of our luxury cottages in the Cotswolds.
