The gorgeous living room invites snug moments, with a handsome wood burning stove taking centre stage, perfectly set within an idyllic, inglenook fireplace. It's impossible not to get lost in the beauty of this space; from beamed ceilings and herringbone wood floorboards to the rustic romance of exposed, golden stone - uncover a tranquil space to while away the cosiest of evenings in true Cotswolds style.

With plenty of sumptuous sofa space to choose from, settle down together beside the roaring fire and catch up with your favourite series on the Smart TV. In addition, there's a Sonos speaker available for creating the perfect soundtrack to your getaway.

You'll also find a comfortable office space, complete with a lovely desk for those workcation moments.

Eating

The open plan kitchen and dining space is straight from a budding chef's dream, where country kitchen charm meets modern luxury. In a stunning charcoal shade by Neptune, this space promises everything you could need to rustle up wholesome feasts, with a large range oven, gas hob, dishwasher and darling butler sink. The farmhouse style dining table comfortably seats ten people, just made for gathering together to enjoy pared-back brunches and beautiful banquets.

Bifold doors lead to the orangery, where a luxurious space awaits to welcome the outdoors in and relish a dose of country living. Uncover a table for six, plus two cosy sofas and an armchair, offering the perfect spot for settling with your current page-turner or savouring afternoon tea amidst the scandi-inspired touches of this serene space.

In addition, you'll find a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room.

Sleeping and bathing

Take the staircase and discover five equally beautiful bedrooms to choose from, each dressed in luxurious, Egyptian cotton bed linen.

The en suite master bedroom boasts a heavenly, four poster super king-sized bed set against the stunning, panelled feature wall in a soothing shade of Farrow and Ball Denimes. The addition of boho-chic features enhances the dreamy style of this bedroom space, where blissful slumbers and lingering lie-ins are firmly on the agenda. There's also an elegant, en suite shower room for those rejuvenating showers after exploring the local beauty spots.

The second bedroom holds a super king-sized bed dressed in neutral tones, with an air of curated calm throughout this soothing space. Daydream beneath the exposed beams and stunning feature light, or cosy up in the darling armchair for a moment of quietude. Slip softly into the romantic roll-top bathtub and relish self-care rituals in the delightful en suite bathroom, complete with an overhead shower.

The third bedroom has a super king-sized bed set before a beautiful feature wall, panelled in the lovely Farrow and Ball shade Pigeon, with an antique chest of drawers and cushion-clad divan - just made for those slow mornings with breakfast in bed.

Bedroom four features a double bed in blissful hues with beautiful, antique headboard and vintage touches. We just adore the unique wooden hanging space, offering an aesthetic alternative to storing away your gorgeous garments! Discover the spacious family bathroom, with a walk-in rainfall shower for those wake-me-up morning moments.

The calming hues of bedroom five, with a super king-sized bed and rustic, Neptune wood-clad feature wall, combine a modern luxe style with pared-back scandi living to offer a space to simply dream. From the beamed ceiling to layering of heavenly textures - this one's for the seekers of soothing slumbers. The en suite wet room is decorated in harmony with its adjoining bedroom, a gorgeous spot to refresh and reset after a day of Cotswold adventures.

All bathrooms feature a heated rail to ensure towels are kept warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

To the rear of the retreat lies a gorgeous garden with sun-soaked terrace leading from the orangery, complete with a table and chairs for ten, corner lounge set and bubbling hot tub. For those balmy summer nights, enjoy alfresco dining with the gas barbeque or settle in for a spot of star gazing around the fire pit. Festoon lights adorn both the hot tub and fire pit areas, this magical outdoor space truly offers a little piece of paradise in the country. Sip morning coffee beneath the blossoming trees, or forget the world beside the darling stream which runs through the garden. As dusk settles, follow a lit pathway to toast marshmallows under the stars and while away blissful evenings in the heavenly hot tub. It's no secret that life's most luxurious retreat moments reside here...

Please note, for security purposes when the property is vacant, there is a CCTV camera located on the exterior of the retreat. However, it will not be active or in use during guest stays.

Setting

Dover's Rise enjoys a quiet, rural setting, within beautiful countryside - much loved by the people who live in it. Due to its peaceful location, we kindly ask our guests to maintain the tranquil setting to respect our neighbours' peace and privacy.

Please note, this retreat is not suitable for hen or stag parties.

Parking

Dover's Rise has private, off-road parking for up to four cars in the driveway.

Babies and children

Little ones are very welcome at Dover's Rise, with two travel cots and two highchairs available on request.

Please note that care should be taken with small children around the stream.

Dogs

Dover's Rise welcomes two small, well-behaved dog. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

In the Area

Dover's Rise lies in the sleepy village of Weston Subedge, close to the pretty town of Chipping Campden, a quintessential area of the Cotswolds renowned for its historic streets and old-world charm. If you ever wish to leave the luxury of your retreat, there's plenty to explore in the local area. Chipping Campden offers a plethora of eateries, artisan deli's, cafes and independent shops awaiting your discovery.

Chipping Campden is also the start of 'The Cotswold Way', a trail of 102 miles that runs all the way to Bath. Discover the National Trust nature reserve, Dover's Hill, a journey through ancient sites, beauty spots and rolling countryside. This is a must for keen ramblers, with so many wonderful trails to explore through scenic sites in this Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A stone's throw away is the darling village of Broadway, only 3 miles from the retreat, this enchanting spot is adorned with chocolate-box cottages and traditional Cotswold charm - perfect for exploring the characterful streets, traditional pubs and boutique stores on offer in this dreamy village. Spend a relaxing afternoon at Dormy House Hotel & Spa, just a few miles from Dover's Rise and promising heavenly spa experiences.

Just a short stroll from Dover's Rise you'll find a local inn, The Seagrave Arms, offering a lovely selection of locally sourced delights, or pay a visit to the charming Eight Bells for a dose of traditional Cotswold country comfort. Uncover a legacy left by three generations of female gardeners at Kiftsgate Court Gardens, famous for the scented climbing rose. Lose yourself in feminine beauty as you wander around the various blooms with light bites and cream teas available in the on-site tearoom.
