It's also within walking distance of an outstanding village shop and pub. Calm and tranquillity intertwine with country cottage charm at our cosy honey-hued home, boasting two beautiful bedrooms, an inviting living space with a wood burner, plus two pretty gardens, with the addition of a firepit for spending evenings alfresco in the summer. This charming haven is the ultimate escape from the everyday, promising a rejuvenating stay enwrapped with the soothing sounds of nature. Explore the Cotswolds Golden Triangle between Chipping Norton, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold. For adventure-filled days, the Cotswolds Water Park is well worth visiting, whilst for retail therapy mornings and relaxing spa treatments, venture to Daylesford Organic. Living
Inviting for magical evenings fireside, the living space at Clover is simply a dream, promising country cottage charm at every turn, with a cosy window seat, armchair and a sofa in soothing tones of sage. Nestled on a vintage chest of drawers, you'll find a television with a full Sky TV package for evenings in watching your favourite shows and films. At the far side of the room, French doors open onto the paved patio, welcoming the outside in on balmy summer days, whilst a wood burning stove inspires cosy scenes during the cooler months.
Eating and dining
Blending rustic charm with modern touches, the kitchen and dining space is fully equipped for all your culinary needs. Uncover a range of integrated appliances, from a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. There's also a food blender and a Nespresso coffee machine for freshly brewed morning delights. Please note that a red Aga is now in place of the electric range cooker.
Please note that the breakfast bar is no longer available at Clover, and a dining table and chairs for four are in place for magical mealtimes.
Sleeping and bathing
Uncover two beautiful bedrooms at Clover, both of which can be found on the first floor.
The master bedroom, in soothing shades of green, features a comfortable king size bed nestled within a cosy cladded alcove, dressed in complementary cushions and throws to evoke the most soothing slumbers. For late night viewing and early risers looking to catch up on the morning news, you'll find a TV on the wall. This dreamy space is also home to a chair and cupboard storage, with an antique mirror positioned beside a beautiful feature fireplace.
Also decorated in tranquil earthy tones, the second bedroom invites for peaceful moments of rest, with a double bed settled within a snug cladded alcove. In tones of sage, the cushions and throws pair beautifully with the artwork, whilst for storing belongings, you'll find hanging spaces and cupboard storage.
Continuing the vision of verdant bliss, the family bathroom can be found on the first floor, complete with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail to ensure towels are kept fluffy and warm.
Outdoor Space
To the front of the cottage, you'll find ample space to unwind, with four comfortable chairs from Lloyd Loom nestled around a glowing firepit, an antique three-seater wrought iron bench perfect for savouring first light with a freshly brewed coffee, and a cocktail table with bar stools for toasting tipples at sunset. There's also a Weber barbecue for grilling alfresco feasts. The rear garden beckons for further outdoor magic, with a delightful dining table for six, plus an antique bistro table for slow paced mornings with buttery pastries.
Parking
Street parking is available to the front of Clover.
Babies
A baby is most welcome at Clover. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Dogs
One well-behaved dog is welcome at Clover. We kindly ask that dogs are not allowed on the sofa or chairs. Please note that there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break. Both the front and rear gardens are secure for four-legged friends to explore.
In the Area
Our cosy cottage sits in the quiet village of Coln St Aldwyns, with unrivalled access to the golden scenes the Cotswolds is known for. Home to the famously pretty Arlington Row, a line of historic houses plucked straight from a fairytale, the idyllic village of Bibury is only a stone's throw away. Walking down the scenic street, you'll soon see why William Morris called Bibury 'the most beautiful village in England'. Extending your explorations a little further, you'll find the pastoral charms of Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, and Moreton-in-Marsh are all delightfully close, each boasting its own captivating characters and sights. Cirencester, the capital of the Cotswolds, is only 20 minutes away, giving you easy access to the vibrant market town and its many beckoning independent shops and restaurants.
Making the most of the bountiful landscape found throughout the Cotswolds, you'll find some exceptional farm shops nearby, which boast a myriad of local offerings. Renowned Daylesford Organic offers an impressive mix of local produce, beautifully crafted homewares and home fragrances, which can also be found throughout the retreat.
Pick up everything you need for a foodie night in or whisk yourselves away to one of the quaint country pubs where flickering fires and exceptional food awaits. The New Inn in Coln St Aldwyns is full to the rafters with rustic charm, whether you're seeking a drink at the bar after an amble through the countryside or a divine sit-down meal by the Cotswold stone fireplace. The Pig in Barnsley is only a short distance by car, promising delicious seasonal dishes within its 25-mile menu. You'll find equally bucolic scenes at the likes of The Keepers inn Quenington, The Swan in Southrop, and The Crown in Ampney Crucis, all of which celebrate the golden charms of the Cotswolds, from the honey-hued aesthetic to the home-grown ingredients that make the dishes shine. Known for its racecourse and prestigious steeplechase, Cheltenham is also home to one of the Cotswolds' most outstanding Michelin star restaurants, Le Champignon Sauvage, where you can enjoy an extra special dining experience.
