Welcome to Foxcote, our gorgeously romantic and relaxing getaway for couples nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds, close to the picturesque market town of Stow-on-the-Wold.

Step inside this charming Cotswold stone cottage and you'll discover a welcoming, open-plan living space, an airy bedroom with shower room, all conveniently arranged on the ground floor. The large, landscaped garden is dog-safe and has its own Garden House. Transformed by its interior designer owner, Foxcote is a delightful modern country home from home that offers exquisite décor yet still retains a warm, inviting atmosphere - and dogs are most welcome.

Living and eating

Foxcote's open-plan living space incorporates the sitting room, kitchen, and dining room. With oak wooden flooring throughout, gently heated with underfloor heating, this is a warm, bright space with a modern country feel, with beautiful artwork displayed throughout.

The sitting area has a beautifully large squishy linen sofa and chaise from Loaf, oh-so-comfy and the perfect spot for curling up together after a busy day's exploring, whether to watch a movie or simply read and watch the flickering of the wood burner. There's a Smart television, plus a SONOS speaker to create the soundtrack to your holiday. For non-digital entertainment, there are lots of games to be found in the TV cabinet, and plenty of books too.

Step through the wooden archway into the beautiful country kitchen, a joy with cream cupboards and wooden worktops. Complete with Neff gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge plus the all-important Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother, you have everything to hand to create feasts for your loved one. There's also a useful central island for prepping meals - head to nearby Daylesford for some tasty local produce! In addition, the washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer can be found in the laundry room.

For dining, there's a lovely dining table and chairs, set next to the French windows that lead out into the garden - great for warmer days, where you can dine with the soft country air and the sound of the birds as your companions.

Sleeping

The double-height bedroom is just a dream, where the king-sized, upholstered bed awaits, swathed in cloud-soft bedding, luxurious linens and sumptuous cushions and throws - just what's needed to send you off into a blissful nights' sleep in this airy room. As well as a window overlooking the garden, French doors lead out on to a tucked away patio, the perfect spot for morning coffee and breakfast. For storage, there's a large chest of drawers, wardrobe and a cloakroom just outside the bedroom.

Bathing

Next to the bedroom lies the shower room, complete with a huge, walk-in shower with rainfall shower head and separate hand-held shower. We just love the exposed Cotswold stone wall, and travertine tiles - such a beautiful room! In addition, there's underfloor heating and a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

The idyllic, large country garden is lovely, with several seating areas in which to relax. Professionally landscaped, there is a sunny lounge area on the terrace just in front of the dining room, complete with seating and a table. Another outside dining space, together with a gas BBQ, can be found next to the oak garage. Both areas have a parasol for some shade in the hotter months.

Along with a lawned space, beautifully manicured shrub borders and a gravelled area, there's a wonderful Garden House, complete with a little table and reading light as well as a day bed - great for sun downers or just to read a book and relax!

A wonderful mid week break. Although we had to travel a little bit further than expected we were met with a warm welcome from the home and family. Beautiful set up, excellent decor, superb atmosphere and a great break to relax and unwind - just wish it had been longer.

This was our second stay at Foxcote and we loved it! It is a beautiful home in a brilliant location with fantastic amenities, and in particular really dog friendly with its secure garden (chihuahua proof!) and washer/tumble dryer. We'll definitely be back, hopefully with better weather next time!

Foxcote was in a lovely setting, very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely, fully enclosed garden with comfortable seating. Ideal for relaxing. Excellent pub next door serving food and very dog friendly.

Absolutely lovely holiday cottage in a fantastic location!

It was the most beautiful house and garden. The interior design was to die for. Kristin provided everything one could possibly want even down to doggie treats and towels! I imagine in the winter with the log burning stove the cottage would be extremely cosy.

Absolutely love our stays at Foxcote/. Its pretty perfect really ..walks from the door with our dog ..stroll to Daylesford (35 mins wish) The Fox 1 min walk away is excellent and Foxocte is just such a stylish and cosy cottage to relax in.

The property and garden was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Simply magical and perfect in every way.

This is a very well appointed spacious cottage for two with a lovely garden, in a picturesque location. We enjoyed our week - even though the weather wouldn’t behave itself.

We found Foxcote to be perfect for our holiday. The cottage and garden was so nice that we often did note feel the need to go out and relaxed in the garden in particular. The property was very clean and well equipped. The garden was very thoughtfully designed and maintained. The renowned Fox pub was 50 metres along the road, what a pleasure not to have to drive, but it's very popular and booking is essential. Daylesford Farm is within walking distance and a number of Cotswolds attractions only a short drive away. It is very likely that we will return to Foxcote and have already recommended it to friends and family.

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location, easy access to walks, Daylesford Organic for food, and the Fox nearby

The Fox is fantastic as its a relaxed atmosphere and food delicious!

We loved Foxcote. Fabulous space, exceptionally well equipped, and just perfect for our stay. It was a really cold weekend, but the cottage was so cosy, both on arrival and throughout. Great pub down the road, and fabulous walks on the doorstep. Special thanks to the owner for making us (including our dog!) feel so welcome and sharing their stunning cottage.

Fabulous return trip to Foxcote for a beautiful snowy weekend in the Cotswolds. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well maintained with all the home comforts anyone could need for a long weekend away. We will certainly return again, the location is perfect for walks, accessing towns of the Cotswolds, popping round to the local pub or just relaxing in front of the log burner with a cup of tea and cake.

What a beautiful property! So many personal and thoughtful touches and Kirstin was in touch personally to make sure everything was fine and offer her help should we need it. We loved everything about this break, and our daily dog walks that always seem to end up at Daylesford, for delicious coffee, pastries and more! Location absolutely perfect for some great pubs and restaurants, walks on your doorstep and a beautiful garden. We will definitely return!

I would really recommend this beautiful cottage! Beautiful interior, perfect location and nothing not thought about! Such a lovely cottage - we have had a great week visiting so many places, Burford, Stow, Hidcote, The Fox, and a walk to Daylesford. The weather has been very kind - we rather hoped we would need to light the wood burner - but no!
