Living and eating
Meriton has a stunning open plan living, dining and kitchen area, creating a fabulously social space to spend time in.
Looking out over the garden, this lovely space has two large windows, plus French doors that lead out on to the terrace, perfect for keeping wide open on hot sunny days.
At one end you'll find the gorgeous kitchen, which comes complete with a range cooker with five-ring gas hob, butler sink, large central island (that's also a breakfast bar), window seat to watch the chef at work, and all the appliances you could need to rustle up a meal including a microwave, fridge freezer and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine. In the utility room you'll find a washing machine and tumble dryer.
In the centre of the room lies the fabulous dining area, with a wooden dining table that comfortably seats eight. In addition, there's a lovely dresser housing glasses and tableware; it also hides the dishwasher away too.
At the far end, the sitting area can be found and it's sumptuously resplendent in rich, jewel-like colours of deep reds, antique golds, and teal. Here, a flickering wood burner awaits, with two large bespoke sofas and a Soho Home armchair, offering the perfect setting for pre and post dinner drinks on autumnal days. There's also a Smart television for film nights, plus a Roberts digital radio with Bluetooth to create the soundtrack to your holiday.
Great for families, there's also a separate snug that's perfect for younger ones, or for those seeking a quiet space to read. Here you'll find a large corner sofa plus a Smart television and a neat little foldaway desk for those needing to work.
Sleeping and bathing
There are three stunning bedrooms to choose from.
The master bedroom comes furnished with beautifully patterned blue wallpaper, country views from dual aspect windows and an occasional chair. There's a sumptuous king-sized bed for long lie-ins and breakfast in bed - a must when on holiday! In addition, there's a walk-in wardrobe, dressing table and an ensuite with large walk-in shower.
The second bedroom also has a blissful king-sized bed. Decadent in shades of teal, there's a stunning built-in wardrobe, with a built-in seat from which to admire the view from the room, and chest of drawers for storing belongings, too.
The third bedroom has a zip-and-link bed, meaning it can be set up as twins or a super king-sized bed. A great room for children, the golds and yellows add a lightness to the space and has plenty of storage for belongings.
The second and third bedroom have use of the grand family bathroom, which has a freestanding, roll top bath for two and a separate walk-in shower.
All the beds come swathed in luxurious linens, oh-so-soft bedding and sumptuous cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep.
In addition, there's a downstairs loo and cloakroom - we just love the wallpaper in here.
Outdoor space
Meriton, surrounded by forest and farmland, benefits from a large garden, with a verdant lawn just perfect for games. In addition, there's a sunny terrace just outside the French doors leading from the kitchen, where you'll find benches for morning coffee and a dining table and chairs plus a gas barbeque for meals alfresco. On a hot day, we recommend setting up a picnic under the boughs of the lovely apple tree - bliss!
