A great spot for walkers, there's a trail around the reservoir with beautiful views. For gin lovers, a visit to Brindle Distillery is a must, where they offer tours and workshops. History enthusiasts will love the areas rich past, where ancient homes await, such as Smithills Hall, a Grade I manor house set on the edge of the West Pennine moors, and pretty, traditional villages.
