Eating
Just wow! We're in love with Ivy Cottage's stunning handmade green kitchen, beautifully topped with a Silestone quartz marble effect work surface and with underfloor heating. It's not style over substance though, as the kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you could need for rustling up meals, with an electric fan oven, induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine and all the other essentials including a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine.
Just next door, set in front of a cosy wood burner, sits the dining table with chairs and bench for six. A wonderful space for mealtimes with gorgeous, exposed beams and dual-aspect windows, the room encourages lingering over each course and every glass of wine, cherishing time together that makes holidays so special.

There are three equally beautiful bedrooms to choose from.
The master bedroom has a stylish wooden king-sized bed, part-panelled walls, gorgeously botanical wallpaper, with dual aspect window overlooking the rolling hills to the front and the garden to the back, dressing table, wardrobe, and a Smart TV. This is a peaceful room with touches of green to evoke the countryside beyond.

Bedroom three has a charming French-inspired double bed, original feature fireplace, pretty ivy-themed wallpaper, useful hanging space and country views, with a delightful small second window for dual aspect views.
All the beds are dressed in luxurious linens, cloud-soft bedding and sumptuous cushions and throws to ensure a blissful nights' sleep.

In the Area
Ivy Cottage lies in Castleton in Hope Valley, right in the heart of the Peak District, making it the perfect base from which to explore the uniquely beautiful Peak District National Park. One of the most popular spots in the Peak District, Castleton boasts four astonishing show caves open to the public - Peak Cavern, Speedwell Cavern, Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Mine - offering a fabulous peek into life underground. Throughout the year, Peak Cavern holds concerts and events whilst during December the incredibly popular carols in the cavern take place each weekend. Peveril Castle, in comparison, looms high above the village and is a wonderful English Heritage property and well worth exploring - the views from here over Castleton and Mam Tor (the 'shivering mountain') and along the Great Ridge, are spectacular. For the more adventurous, hang gliding from Mam Tor is a popular pastime here, whilst for those who like to keep their feet firmly on the ground, there's walks galore, whether its amongst the hills or along the river, short or far. Castleton has lots of fabulous eateries and independent shops to explore, whilst also being a fantastic base to explore the surrounding area. The fabulous Chatsworth House, with its playground and gardens, is only a 25-minute drive from the cottage and well worth a visit is the award winning Estate farm shop. Other fabulous highlights include Bakewell, Haddon Hall (a medieval stately home), the heated outdoor swimming pool at Hathersage (just ten minutes away) and the Derwent and Ladybower dams in the Derwent Valley, used as the location for filming the world famous 'Dam Busters' film.
