Settled within its own three-acre valley surrounded by woodland, our bewitching abode adorned with climbing vines and clad in Welsh stone promises a storybook-worthy façade like no other. Inside, a carefully curated combination of contemporary finishes and rustic touches ensures the most heavenly living moments for up to eight guests and two dogs. With endless garden views of rolling country vistas and a meandering stream with a natural pond, a luxurious gym, two wood-burning stoves and a dreamy glass atrium at the heart of the home, flee the ordinary and find yourself in an otherworldly country escape, where rural charm promises to reset your life balance.

Living and eating

Enter through an eclectic blue stable door to uncover the spacious open-plan kitchen and living quarters, a heavenly space for unwinding and entertaining.

Discover the wonderfully modern kitchen, where a gorgeous oak island breakfast bar is the heart of the space. Complete with sleek white brick tiling and a glossy blue AGA, you'll find everything required for crafting culinary masterpieces, including a Quooker hot tap, dishwasher, a fridge/freezer with an ice dispenser, and a Nespresso machine with a milk frother.

Beyond the kitchen rests the stunning oak-framed glass atrium, effortlessly stylish with cream-toned interiors and charcoal slate floors. Abundant with natural light and promising cosy underfloor heating, this space ensures a blissful setting to admire the beautiful gardens and trees beyond. Whether you're settled in front of the Smart TV, stretched out on the comfy three-seat corner sofa or huddled around the laid-back dining table for eight whilst your staycation soundtrack plays from Bang & Olufsen speakers - serene escapism awaits.

During the summer months, open the doors and head out to the cobblestone patio for golden hour conversation and birdsong.

Through the hall, discover the formal dining room with an extending table resting under rustic beams. Setting the tone for dreamy dining moments with stunning retro interior touches and parquet wood flooring, this space is complete with a wood burning stove to soothe the soul during the winter months. At the very end of the retreat lies the snug, where a second wood burning stove rests centre of an original stone fireplace, nestled between literature-brimming bookshelves. Combining traditionally charming features with mid-century pieces, this gorgeous space with two sofas and two leather armchairs offers a tucked-away spot to escape for a moment's peace. This room also benefits from Bang & Olufsen speakers, a Smart TV with Sky, and a radio.

Tan y Coed also has the wonderful addition of Google Home Assistant throughout with an extensive list of features, including temperature and window control.

Downstairs you will find an additional WC, alongside a utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, and a Neff oven.

Sleeping and bathing

You'll find four striking bedrooms at Tan y Coed.

Uncover the beautifully spacious master bedroom, where lingering lie-ins await in the luxe super king-sized bed. Featuring a gorgeous, vaulted oak beamed ceiling and a Juliet balcony just made for savouring country scenes with an early morning coffee, you'll also find a white chest of drawers, a large mirror and twin boucle bean stools. Through the sliding door lies an equally contemporary en suite bathroom, where a rainfall shower and heated rail can be found.

Equally charming with lively prints and porthole-style windows is the second bedroom, where a king-sized bed is dressed in ecru-hued linens. This room also has a large mirror and a chest of drawers for storing your belongings.

Along the corridor and accessed via a secret painting is the modern family bathroom, where a bathtub with a separate shower head is the perfect setting for candlelit, bubble-topped self-care moments.

Just next door is the third bedroom with a double bed, continuing with the soft, neutral tones presented throughout Tan y Coed. There is also an occasional chair for curling up with a book, along with a wardrobe.

Tucked away at the very end of the retreat lies the fourth and final bedroom, an adorable space with green inflections. This bedroom has a sweet double bed and an antique, teal-toned chest of drawers.

Outside space

Step outside to uncover three acres of dreamlike garden space, where surrounding woodland, hillside scenery, and a large pond with a meandering stream promise a fairy tale setting to while away the hours.

Towards the water's edge, an expansive terrace on stilts resides with a stylish concrete resin dining table for eight - perfectly placed for gazing onto rolling country scenes whilst enjoying neighbouring wildlife with a glass in hand. Alternatively, a wooden dining table for eight and a quirky handmade oak bench with table can be found on the garden patio.

Whether you choose to settle for afternoon tea under the shade of the cherry blossom tree, picnic beside the folly bell tower, or perch beside the trickling stream, you'll find endless additional seating scattered throughout Tan Y Coed's ethereal grounds.

My favourite place of the past few years

Magical setting and grounds.

A beautiful, secluded property in an idyllic, peaceful location.

A gorgeous location and house for our group getaway

It was beautiful, comfortable and very well appointed.

We were 3 generations and had a lovely and memorable time at Tan y Coed. The cottage and setting is quite remarkable. The extensive and varied gardens with the river running through it were a delight. the garden is enclosed and safe for a dog to roam. We would like to go back in summer.

It was beautiful. The exterior was stunning.

Absolutely amazing cottage, very picturesque secluded, loads of walks from the front door.

We all had a great and lovely stay at Tan Y Coed. The house is so nice and the area is great. We hope that we will get back to this house. The host is so nice as well as his family. Indeed we all enjoyed our stay.

We have had a lovely few days in this idylic spot. The natural setting of the house is perfect and the garden is beautifully tended. We loved exploring it's paths and found our way to the old racecourse via the wonderful walk through the woods behind the house. The house is very peaceful, calm and well - equipped. There are some lovely places to visit nearby and further afield. We loved it here. Thank you for welcoming us Kevin.
