We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Empyrean:

Luxurious retreat in Somerset, well appointed, extremely clean and cosy. Blissfully quiet and relaxing stay, loved the log burner. In quite a remote area, the nearest pub is 14 minutes drive away and although the website states it is open from Wednesday to Sunday it didn’t actually open until Friday night. However had a very nice meal there when it did open. Plenty to do in the area but a lot of driving involved. If you like a bit of luxury and cosy surroundings this is the place for you, but I would recommend taking your own iron ??

Beautifully appointed which makes for a perfect stay.

A lovely property, well presented. We had a great week.

A lovely, quaint cottage in a small hamlet. The cottage is finished to an extremely high standard and was exceptionally clean and tidy with comfortable sofas and beds. We loved the stable doors, the log burner, the beautiful roll top bath and the tranquil setting. The 'welcome' text communication from the owners added a personal touch which was lovely and the folder at the cottage had really useful hints and tips about eating out and activities. We could go for walks directly from the property to see amazing long distance views and visit National Trust houses and gardens nearby. A real 'home-from-home' with everything you would need for a perfect stay, thank you.

A Beautifully decorated and very comfortable cottage. Lovely quite location, within easy reach of great places to explore. The owners have done a fantastic job in decorating the cottage. Very homely. We loved it.

Lovely, very comfortable and well appointed. Excellent place to relax and beautifully finished cottage.

Very pretty and cosy little cottage, nicely situated with a beautiful little back garden. Welcome hamper very much appreciated. Very enjoyable stay. Would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful stay! It is a gorgeous, stylish and fabulously well equipped homestay for four with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail and furnishings are immaculate and sympathetic to the character of the cottage. Notable highlights were a day out driving across Exmoor to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe Beach, plus a day taking the coast road to Dunster Castle, Lynmouth and the most spectacular walk between Valley of the Rocks and Lynton.

The garden furniture was very nice.

A beautiful, comfortable cottage in a tranquil, rural setting. It’s a great base for relaxing and walking.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful location with a most gorgeous garden. Perfect for our family of 4. So relaxing and very comfortable.

A really lovely cottage and very comfortable.
