There are two brilliant pubs in Wedmore that serve exceptional grub. The Swan, in the centre of the village, is run by executive chef Tom Blake from River Cottage and serves locally-sourced food across lunch and dinner. Sunday roasts are famous (a triple roast, anyone?) whilst you can also get a fab breakfast too. The George Inn, lying next to the church, is a Grade II listed building, beautifully furnished inside, serving tasty food in a lovely setting. Nanny Ida’s is also great – ideal for an English brekkie, light lunch or afternoon tea – and it has a pretty garden too.
