One of Devon’s most iconic landmarks is Becky Falls, located in the idyllic country of Dartmoor National Park. More than just a stunning natural waterfall, this beautiful site is also an ancient woodland which has a wide range of walks to explore and a variety of animals to see.
Becky Falls is located in over fifty acres of ancient woodland, hidden away from it all on Dartmoor. Escape from the busyness of the city and breath in the fresh Devon air in this utterly beautiful landscape. As well as going to see the iconic 70ft high natural waterfall, your admission will also include many activities and shows meaning there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Stroll through the ancient woods on a variety of different walks to suit anyone and everyone’s need. Enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace on the Blue Trail, which is reasonable flat, just over 30 minutes long and ideal for children, especially with the Children’s Nature Trail Competition. More demanding is the Red Trail which takes 45-50 minutes to complete the circuit; you’ll venture past the main waterfalls and over the ginormous moss-covered boulders – ideal for climbing! For those looking for a true hiking experience, take the purple trial which involves a 200-foot climb from the lower falls through the rural and wild woodland.
Come and see the gorgeous range of animals at this wonderful site. There is a wonderful petting area where you will find rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and goats or head over to the Animal Discovery Zone and meet an array of exotic snakes, lizards and more. Currently there are also ‘Meet The Keepers” sessions which gives you an in-depth look into how these animals are cared for as well as a chance to see them up close and personal.
Open every day from 16th February to 2019 to 27th October 2019, this is an ideal destination for walkers, animal lovers and beauty seekers during their luxury stay to the Dartmoor National Park.
