Step into our modern island sanctuary, where the main open plan living space invites for dreamy indoor-outdoor living, with an array of floor-to-ceiling bifold doors leading to the wraparound terrace and spacious garden.

Promising soothing hues contrasted with vibrant, jewel-toned artwork, the first light-filled living room offers a serene space to gather. Discover two neutral-toned sofas, perfectly positioned in front of the electric wood burning stove and Smart TV. Whether you're gazing at the distant coastal views through the open doors on a balmy summer's day, or cosying in front of the fire with an evening tipple, this is a tranquil setting to unwind after days exploring the island.

Opposite is the sleek kitchen, featuring glossy white cabinetry with chrome accents, along with a spacious stone-topped island, breakfast bar and stools. Everything is on hand for culinary creation here, including two built-in combi ovens, an induction hob, a Quooker tap, two fridges, two freezers, an ice machine, an additional drinks fridge and a Genio S Nescafé Dolce Gusto coffee machine. For those who may wish to entertain or host a unique dining experience, there is also a fully-equipped, separate second kitchen with an oven and hob.

Set between the kitchen and living area is the dining space, a spacious wooden table and ten beautifully upholstered velvet chairs offer a stylish setting for mealtimes together at any hour.

For those in pursuit of a quiet spot to withdraw, discover the additional snug, endlessly cosy with a navy velvet, L-shaped sofa, an armchair and a built-in electric fireplace resting centre stage. There is an additional Smart TV for those plotting a night in with their favourite film, along with a desk for those who may need to send an email or two.

In the utility, you'll find two washing machines, two tumble dryers and a wash basin, whilst a traditional, wood-panelled boot room complete with bench seating and coat hooks offers a quaint solution to store your outdoor essentials.

Sleeping and bathing

There are five equally stunning bedrooms at Ballalielah, four featuring an en suite in a cohesive contemporary design.

Uncover 'Bokara', adorned in a rich blue with red and cream inflections, complete with a super-king zip-and-link, two bedside tables and a dressing table with chair. Adjacent is the en suite shower room, featuring striking quartz effect tiles and a walk-in shower with a rainfall head.

Earthy green tones reign in 'Karoo', complete with a super-king zip-and-link bed, a dressing table, open shelving and an expansive balcony made for savouring sunrises alfresco. There is also en suite with a walk-in shower.

In shades of burnt orange, teal and chocolate, 'Jaipur' promises the perfect space for little ones, with two twin beds and a dressing table with chair. This cosy bedroom benefits from the use of the spacious family bathroom, complete with a bathtub and an overhead shower.

Adorned in sage green with navy and mustard yellow accents, 'Aswan' ensures lingering lie-ins beside distant coastal vistas in a super-king zip-and-link bed. You'll also find a dressing table and an en suite shower room.

Finally, swathed in muted tones, 'Haku' features a super-king zip-and-link bed, a dressing table, open shelving and a hanging rail for storing your garments.

There is an additional WC located on the ground floor.

Outdoor space

A heavenly setting framed by verdant countryside, the dog-proof outdoor space at Ballalielah is a dream on sun-kissed days. A wraparound terrace with a wooden table and chairs promises shaded mealtimes below the balcony, whilst a spacious lawn with an outdoor chess set ensures rural bliss for little ones and adults alike. Uncover the elevated hot tub area, where you can indulge in balmy soaks accompanied by charming views of Gansey Bay. Here you'll find a Bluetooth speaker for playing your favourite staycation soundtrack, along with an outdoor shower.

Bar and Games Room

Nestled in the garden in a separate outbuilding is the luxurious games room and bar, setting the scene for the lovers of entertaining and light-hearted competition. Endless family fun awaits here, promising a pool table and cosy seating area with a Smart TV, whilst a bar with stools is the perfect place to gather for champagne conversation.

Spa Room

Uncover the luxurious addition of a bespoke therapy and treatment room, perfect for those looking to reset their life balance without the need to leave the retreat. Set within the grounds and complete with private suites and showers, this calming space is a dream for massages or beauty treatments. Babies and children

Babies and children are most welcome at the retreat, with a highchair and a travel cot available for your use.

Two dogs are most welcome at Ballalielah. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

There is ample parking for up to five cars at Ballalielah.
